Club President Mickey McDonnell mentioned that there are members late on their dues. It was decided that the best course of action was to have Treasurer Mickey Stewart contact each member for a discussion regarding dues. Vice Pres. Lisa deShazo reminded the club of its policy for members that are three quarters behind could be dropped from the books. The club is willing to work with any member who is behind on their dues by coming up with some sort of a payment plan for those wanting to remain members. If a notice is received there is a 30 day deadline for that member to respond. Otherwise, due to the club paying national and district for each member, that delinquent member will be dropped from the club.
Last December the club hosted a Christmas Party for the V.A. Clinic. Vice Pres. Lisa deShazo reported that the V.A. administrator Leigh Ann Johnson will be drafting a thank you letter for the companies that provided the food donations.
BUSINESS: Treasurer Mickey Stewart gave a treasurer report with the balances in the club operating and special accounts; which included a generous donation from Dennis Langan.
Sunshine Award: This week’s Sunshine Award was presented to Treasurer Mickey Stewart but who to leave early due to other affairs; the remaining members recited the Exchange Covenant of Service. The meeting was then adjourned by Club President Mickey McDonnell. Meeting time for the total days combined was 127 min.
How’s Your Health: On January 4th Secretary Janet Sutherland will have a procedure on her hand, and some time later the other hand will have the same thing. It will be a three week recovery process.
