NOVEMBER 2017 NEWSLETTER

Dear Fellow Caledonians,

First the exciting news – at the recent Congress, East London scooped both the membership trophies, winning both the Ken Johnstone Trophy (for numerical membership increase) and Harare Cup (for percentage membership increase). Congratulations to past Chief Maureena Middleton whose leadership achieved this success for our society. Perhaps we should challenge ourselves to retain these trophies at the 2018 Congress? Do you know of any potential members? Bring them along to one of our forthcoming events! The Task Team presentation delivered by Andrew Macdonell was well received at Congress, and we may be asking for your input again in the near future.

This weekend we have the annual Halloween party at McClelland home. This is our main charitable event for the year, and we really need the support of our members to make it work. There will be prizes for the best dressed, and braai fires lit – so please join us. Later this month we will gather at Hams Club for the St Andrews Dinner. Details about tickets are in the Entertainment section of the newsletter
