KELTHANE* 18.5 EC
A low toxicity specific miticide, mainly effective on all mobile stages of agricultural mites including the Two Spotted Spider Mite (tetranychid) for use on vegetables, fruits, flowers and ornamentals.
Active ingredient :- Dicofol 185g/Lt
Formulation :- Emulsifiable Concentrate [EC]
Mode of Action
Acts by direct contact on all mobile forms of phytophagous mites i.e. larvae, nymphe, adults. It is absorbed by dissolving in the lypophylic components of the tissues. It acts like a neurotoxicant by contact and affects the transmission of the nervous impulse.Kelthane 18.5 EC has a moderate ovicidal action.
Spectrum of Control
Kelthane 18.5 EC is active against tetranychid mites (red spider mites)
It is especially recommended for use on vegetables,strawberries,citrus,grapes,cotton,beans,tomatoes,flowers,and ornamental plants.
Directions for use
Mixing and spraying
Measure the recommended amount of kelthane 18.5 EC and add to the required amount of water and agitate carefully . Spray thoroughly to cover all parts of the plant especially the underside of the leaf. If the water used for the treatment has high alkalinity then carry out the treatment within few hours of preparation of the solution. It is also advisable to add a wetting agent.
Timing of applications
Application should begin when mites are first noticed and should be repeated after two to four weeks if infestation reappears.

Flowers and Ornamentals / 2-3.5 Lt / 75Ml / Main problems are exclusively caused by two spotted spider mite. Start treatment when mobile forms appear by preferably mixing with an ovicide.
Cotton / 2-3lt / 75ml/lt / Start application when mites are first notice. Apply with sufficient water to wet even the underside of leaves.
Compatibility
Kelthane 18.5 EC is compatible with most of the insecticides , miticides and fungicides with the exception of alkaline products.

Kelthane used in a mixture with ovicides completes the spectrum of action of the recent accaricides with predominant action on eggs and on early motile forms.
Kelthane is a miticide with low environmental impact being selective against the beneficial insects and free from residues hazardous to the environment.
Kelthane is multisite in activity and therefore has longer period to develop resistance. It fits in well with all resistance control strategies as an alternative to other active ingredients.
