Members of Synod and members of the Provincial House of Bishops, and members of the Search Committee have until April 26 to nominate candidates. When a name is received the person is contacted and requested to sign a consent that they are willing to be considered in the process and to forward a CV along with a recent colour photo.

The Search Committee will meet on April 27 to determine if the nominees meet the Constitutional requirements of the Province of Rupert’s Land. If a nominee does not meet the Constitutional requirements, that person and their nominator will be informed.

Those candidates who do meet the Constitutional requirements will be sent a series of questions to respond to in a written form and will also be requested to provide a video. This material is to be sent to the Search Committee before May 19 [Canon 9.10 (j)].

Names of the persons to be nominated at the electoral synod and their information (CV, picture, written responses, and video) are to be delivered to the Administrator by no later than May 26 [Canon 9.10 (k)]. At least 14 days prior to Synod (June 2) the Administrator will make available, and send to members of synod, the names of the persons to be nominated at the electoral synod and their submitted material [Canon9.12 (1)].

The Canon makes provision for further nominations from any two members of synod (Canon 9.11) at least seventy-two hours prior to the commencement of the electoral synod (9:30 am June 13).

Please continue to keep the Committee, the candidates, and members of synod in your prayers.
