70 Years Young!
The Council of Parent Participation Preschools in BC is celebrating its
70th Anniversary this year.
Preparations for the Spring Fling Party and Awards are well underway.
It’s an amazing anniversary milestone and the Council is planning to celebrate with our community and partners with special guests, gourmet treats, parent education, and festivities galore to mark our amazing cooperative community!
We would love to have your Preschool join us at the Spring Fling, so please “talk it up” at your next General or Executive Meeting. Those who have attended before know what a fun and special event it is! Last year many Parents, Teachers and special guests attended the event. Alumni and new parents as well as current parents and friends are welcome at the Spring Fling!! Our goal is to get 10 members from each preschool to join us for this special 70thyear party.
As you may know theRaffle Baskets are a highlight of the event. In past years, the CPPPBC has raised as much as $1500.00, which contributes to our annual fundraising goal. Last year we had over 25 beautiful Raffle Baskets donated by our Member Parent ParticipationPreschools, the PPPTA Branches and corporate donors.
We would be most appreciative if your Preschool could donate aRaffle Basket or individual items for a basket. Some past RaffleBasket themes include: Spa Delight, Family Baking Time, Family Gardening Time, Hooray! It’s Story Time, Who Wants Breakfast, Mom’s Coffee Break, A Day At the Beach, Family BBQ, and Playing Together. The baskets are always so well received, and we appreciate your creativity and enthusiasm!
If you are able to offer your support, I would greatly appreciate a quick email or callwith information regarding your basket theme so we canapply for our BC Gaming License. We ask that you to please have the Raffle Basket ready and at the Council office by May 9th. The Board wraps and prepares signage for the Spring Fling event at the Board meet on May 16th.If you are unable to bring it to the Council Office by the deadline or make it out to the office for delivery, please call prior to that date and we will arrange for pick-up. If you are able to deliver the basket, please call ahead to the office to confirm staff to be available to receive your donation.
