The Conference Will Feature the Following Problems

DEAR COLLEAGUES,

The Russian academy of sciences together with Cultural, scientific and informational centre of Hungary, the Ufa scientific centre of the Russian academy of sciences and their affiliated institutions on 13-14th September, 2013 are going to convene the XIIIth international conference Topical problems of dialect studies of Russia peoples’ languages dedicated to the 70th anniversary of eminent Hungarian Turkic and Bashkir studies expert, cultural anthropologist and diplomat Dr. Joszef Torma (1943-2000).

The Conference will feature the following problems:

1.  Topical problems of Turkic dialect studies.

2.  Topical issues of Slavonic and Fenno-Ugric dialect studies.

3.  Dialect studies and ethnolinguistics.

4.  Dialect studies and onomastics.

5.  Dialect studies and adjoining subjects.

6.  Teaching native and state languages in dialect conditions (exemplified by the Russian Federation’s polyethnical regions).

Within the framework of this international Conference we plan to hold a symposium awording the decision of the Russian turkologists` committee called “Topical issues of developing for the Turkic languages”.

Would-be participants are requested to e-mail to (tagged Dialectology Conference) their reports and applications mentioning the subject, first name and name (in full), one’s scholarly degree, position and place of work together with telephone contacts, fax and their e-mail address. The organizational Committee will accept these up to the 12th of August, 2013.

Guidelines to sending abstracts: Word for Windows – 2003/2007. Page standard A4 (210x297 mm). Margins on the left and right, top and bottom – 2 sm. Font Times New Roman, size 14. Paragraph indentations 1.25. The space between lines is 1½. Texts allow illustrations, graphics and tables not exceeding 1. Participants requested to do pictures, graphics and charts in graphs editing programmes enabling vector graphics; tables done in table mode. The title is typed in small letters set in bold. The author/authors’ name follows below in small letters in 1 ½ line space. Next comes a body’s full name, town/city and a country’s name after a space of 1 line. With a 1.5 indentation the text set through 1 ½ space follows.

References in the text go like [Dmitrijev 1948,147]. The report’s text is to suit the Conference’s topic, be proof-read and neatly edited.

The list of References is titled ‘References’ typed in the middle of page and set in size 14.

Bashkir, Russian and English are the working languages of the Conference. Participants are requested to supply any specific fonts for their texts in this or that language.

The organizational Committee reserves its right to select reports. The manuscripts and other filed data are not sent back or reviewed.

An electronic invitation shall be forwarded after receipt of an application.
