ENDOWMENT SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES

An endowment scholarship has been established at Murray State College by the Chickasaw Nation for Chickasaw students. This endowment scholarship is awarded each spring semester for use during the following school year. The amount of the scholarship varies according to the particular need of the student applying. This endowment scholarship will be awarded to a student meeting the following guidelines:

  1. Must be enrolled as a full-time student (12 credit hours) in the fall semester at Murray State College, and must continue to enroll as a full-time student the spring semester.
  1. Must demonstrate financial need that is not currently being met by other sources.
  1. Must have a 2.5 GPA to be considered for the scholarship, and must maintain a 2.5 GPA to receive a second semester award.
  1. Must show proof of Chickasaw lineage, verified by a CDIB (Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood) or the Chickasaw Citizenship Card.

Students wishing to apply for The Chickasaw Nation Endowment Scholarship may obtain the application forms from the Murray State College Foundation Office or on the Murray State College website at

This endowment scholarship will be applied toward expenses incurred by students, such as tuition, room and board, and books.
