Job Summary
Reporting to the Head of Education and Standards, the Professional Licensing Manager is accountable for the design, planning and implementation of information-centred policies, incentives, controls and processes in ensuring the successful delivery of CIPS Professional, Educational standards across a variety of specialist areas of the business. The role calls for performance and risk management and high levels of interpersonal skills. The incumbent must be able to motivate and influence others to achieve cost-effective results across CIPS UK and International departments and offices. They are expected to analyse and assess problems and identify and be accountable for alternate solutions and approaches as the situation dictates as they contribute to overall organisational efficiency and success. Accountable to the Group Director of Standards and Regulation the Professional Licensing Manager must ensure the provision of service excellence for associated application, assessment and award processes through collaborative working with internal external stakeholders and the application of effective team and budgetary management skills.
A skilled communicator, team player and innovator, the Professional Licensing Manager must adopt a professional approach at all times as they will be expected to engage with external customers, many of whom will be operating in high profile senior strategic business roles.
Key Responsibilities
· Managing, maintaining, expanding and accountable for CIPS contribution to the UK government’s apprenticeships initiative.
· Accountable for the development, implementation and management of innovative supporting strategies and policies in respect of CIPS’ response to the Department for Business Innovation and Skills Post-16 Skills Plan.
· Accountable for the delivery of service excellence and maintaining the integrity of the CIPS brand and processes and auditing associated with:
o Management entry route (MER) to membership (MCIPS)
o Fellowship (FCIPS)
o Chartered Status (Chartered Professional)
o Accelerated entry route (AER) to MCIPS and FCIPS
o CIPS Qualifications APCL Exemptions and Membership upgrades
· Managing the efficient and effective administration of the CIPS accredited degree process.
· The effective and efficient delivery of the CIPS Competency Assessment Tool (CAT) and accountable for leveraging it to deliver new and innovative approaches to improve availability, accessibility and usability of information for stakeholders.
· Support other CIPS business areas to identify and develop opportunities to provide CAT technical and/or support to new and existing product offerings.
· Actively promoting CIPS services and products, leading to increases in the CIPS global community.
· Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) of professional licensing product and service providers.
· Identification and management of assessors and suppliers of other services as required by the Professional Licensing Team and associated activity.
· Accountable for the provision of relevant and timely management information on all aspects relating to the professional licensing products and team.
· Setting and managing the annual budget for the CIPS Professional Licensing Team.
· Contributing to the Professional Standards and Regulation strategic and operational plans as they relate to professional licensing and educational development and standards.
· Accountable for the management of the annual review of the CIPS Global Standard and the associated MER and CER question banks and processes.
· Supporting the periodic review of CIPS qualifications.
· Providing timely reports and updates to the Professional Standards and Regulation Leadership Team on changing patterns and/or areas of concern within professional licensing.
· Planning and accountable for the management of the Professional Licensing Team relating to quality requirements, customer expectations and targets, maintaining CIPS reputation and brand.
· Motivate, manage and develop the Professional Licensing Team to ensure an ethos based on high performance and continuous improvement.
· Demonstrate and promote supportive and effective team working within and between teams across the CIPS UK and International organisation.
· Promote and embed a culture of information sharing and effective and accurate use of information, through the design, implementation and management of innovative information centred policies, incentives, controls and processes.
· Support, and deputise for as appropriate, the Heads of Education Development and Standards in ensuring the successful delivery of CIPS Professional, Educational standards and representing and promoting the regulatory standards and integrity of CIPS assessments and awards.

Other Information
Hours / 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday (35 hour contractual working week, but the salary has been structured to take account of the need to work some unsocial hours and possible nights away from home, and therefore no additional remuneration will be paid outside of base salary)

Bonus / Bonus Scheme – General Staff Bonus. Bonuses are non-contractual, not guaranteed and can be removed at CIPS’ sole discretion. Bonus payments are non-consolidated for all other contractual and non-contractual benefits including (but not limited to) pension and life assurance.
