Concessionary Passes

Please provide below details of each applicant who will be participating in the event in uniform / period costume. Please read the General terms and conditions (attached) in relation to re-enactors at the event.

I confirm that in applying for concessionary passes and discounted camping, all persons named on this form have read and will abide by the terms and conditions relating to the Ramsey 1940s event 2017, are covered by event public liability insurance of not less than £1,000,000 and will participate in the event in 1940s uniform/costume between the hours of 10.00hrs and 17.00hrs (ie public opening times).
All concessionary tickets must be purchased in advance at the rate above. However, a refund on this concessionary pass is available to any re-enactor who undertakes to provide 1.5 hours during the course of their visit to act as a gate steward, meeting and greeting the public as they arrive (Whilst in uniform/costume). On completion of this duty individuals will be given a pass which can be exchanged at show control for a cash refund on their concessionary ticket. Please indicate below whether you are willing to assist as a gate steward.
(All sessions must be carried out between 0930hrs and 1730hrs on either day)

Ramsey 1940s reserve the right to refuse admission and to remove any persons and their equipment from the event/site at any time. Database is for our use only and will not be available to anyone outside the 40s Committee.

OVERNIGHT CAMPING IN EVENT CAMPING AREA

Anyone staying overnight must be registered. No modern vehicles, tents or trailers will be allowed in The Camp area. ALL Caravans will be sited in main camping area and MUST be pre booked. Entry to camping site from Thursday 17th August 2017 after 2.00pm. Own sanitation and water essential if arriving Thursday. Main event toilets not in use until Friday 18th August. Please note toilet facilities are provided within the camping and main site areas. Toilets on site will have alcohol hand wash only. Fresh water is freely available both in the main event area and the camping site but there are no dedicated washing or showering facilities. Generators must be switched off and not used between 12 midnight and 7.00 am and only individual portable toilets will be in use during these hours. Site to be vacated by Monday 21st August 2017 before 4.00 pm please.

Size of pitch required

The pitch provided is wide enough for a tent or caravan/motor home plus awning. There should be enough space to park a vehicle too. If car/vehicle cannot fit within the allocated space then they must be removed to the public car park. Each pitch is marked out so please ensure that the correct size pitch it booked and that your vehicle will fit into it. Your vehicle MUST be able to fit into the booked pitch. No part of it must encroach on any service road.

Under the Health and Safety at Work Act (1999) all Static Living History Display Operators are required to produce a Risk Assessment for all activities including setting up, operating the display during the 1940s event, dismantling and removal from site afterwards. This includes the provision of oil spill granules by Vehicle Clubs for all show vehicles. Removal of waste and contaminated material to the site skip is the responsibility of the Display Operators and Club Members. Public Liability Insurance is compulsory and valid certificates must be produced on request.
