Please answer the questions below to help you create your ranch profile using the following suggestions and your own ideas. Spaces are reserved for members of the California Cattlemen’s Association. One profile per membership, please.
1. When was your family’s ranch founded? By whom?
2. How many years has your family been members of CCA?
3. Have any members of your family served as a CCA officer? If so, please include the name(s) of the family member(s), which office(s) they held and which year(s) they served?
4. Have any members of your family or your family’s ranch have been the recipients of an award bestowed by CCA or the beef industry? Ie. Gordon Van Vleck Memorial Award, Top Hand Winner, National Cattlemen’s Beef Association Environmental Stewardship Award, Beef Quality Assurance award, etc.
Profile:Please write a 750-1,000 word profile describing the history and evolution of your ranch over the past 100 + years. Who have been the key players in maintaining the ranch? How have the commodities, breeds, or focus of your operation changed over the years? Where is your ranch located? How has it played a vital role in the community and/or economy? How many generations are involved in your ranch? What are their backgrounds? What legacy does your family wish to leave?
Photos: Please digitally submit 7-10 high-resolution photos (no cell phone photos) via email or scan. These photos can be progression photos of your family’s ranch then and now, people, awards, landscape photos and more. Historical photos are welcome! Realizing these types of photos will most likely be in print, please scan a digital copy and email it to submit. Please include a brief caption for each photo you submit in the body of your email.
By submitting this profile, you grant the California Cattlemen’s Association permission to use the materials you have provided and that CCA staff reserves the right to make edits for purposes of appropriateness, layout, space and consistency.
