RIDE OUT UK!!
BHS Grampian invite you to support a
PLEASURE RIDE at DUNECHT

The BHS have declared the whole of May to be Ride Out UK Month to raise awareness of off-road riding and the fantastic efforts of BHS volunteers, local authorities andorganisations who protect and restore our multi-user routes. All proceeds will go toward the ongoing work of BHS Scotland

  • Follow the marked route for a self-guided ride suitable for all ages and levels.
  • Start at Pony Club Field, opposite Pony Club House, Dunecht Estate
  • The routes will be approx. 6k and 9k
  • All finishers will receive a rosette.
  • Entries: £5 short route, £8 long route per rider to be paid on booking.
  • From 10am – 2pm. Times will not be allocated, but please allow yourselves plenty time to complete
  • Refreshments available

Conditions of entry

  1. Correct headwear to current safety standards must be worn and correctly fastened at all times whilst mounted
  2. Riders aged 16 and under must be accompanied on the ride by a responsible and suitably experienced adult.
  3. All horses / ponies to be 4 years old or over.
  4. It is the rider’s responsibility to ensure their horse is fit and healthy enough to complete the distance comfortably.
  5. The horse’s passport ought to be available on the day.
  6. Instructions of organisers, officials and stewards must be followed to promote the safety of everyone present.
  7. For safety reasons, riders to start in groups of no more than 4.
  8. All riders must wear hi viz on both themselves and their horses.
  9. All riders are expected to follow the Scottish Outdoor Access Code and take care when meeting other people on the tracks.
  10. There will be no farrier on site
  11. Save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of any event to which these rules apply, nor British Horse Society Scotland nor BHS Grampian nor the landowners nor any agent, employee, representative of these bodies accepts liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever.
