President’s Message,
On September 17, 2010 we had our 30th Annual Golf Tournament. It was a great day and we had great weather. I hope everyone enjoyed the tournament. We had over 200 golfers and almost 250 people for dinner. We raised over $1500.00 for Gillian’s Place, which is a local women’s shelter. I would like to thank the golf committee members for taking time out of their busy schedule to help with organizing this tournament. I also would like to thank all of our sponsors, golfers and participants. With the support from our sponsors we are able to make events such as the golf tournament a great success.
Our next dinner meeting will be on October 27, 2010 at the Best Western Beacon Harbourside Inn & Suites Conference centre. Our speaker will be Richard Kooren from Origin & Cause Inc. Richard will be discussing the New Construction and how it relates to fire spread. I look forward to seeing everyone there.
