(30MPH AND 40 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 201_
Argyll and Bute Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 84(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended (‘the Act’), and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Constable of Strathclyde Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, and having complied with Part II of the Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (Scotland) Regulations 1999, hereby make the following Order:
1 This Order may be cited as “The Argyll and Bute Council (A and B Class Roads) (Speed Limit Review) (30mph and 40mph Speed Limit) Order 201_” and shall come into operation on Monday the ___ day of __ Two Thousand and __.
2 The Interpretation Act 1978 shall apply for the interpretation of this Order as it applies for the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.
3 No person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 30 mph on the lengths of road specified in Schedule1 to this Order.
4 No person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 40 mph on the lengths of road specified in Schedule 2 to this Order.
5 The Orders specified in Schedule 3 to this Order shall have effect subject to the amendments specified in that Schedule.

SCHEDULE 1
30MPH SPEED LIMIT
Length of Road in Argyll and Bute
Inveraray1. / That length of the Inveraray to Dalmally Road (A819), extending from its junction with the A83 Trunk Road in a northwesterly direction to a point 17 metres or thereby northwest of the access road to the Police Station, a distance of 273 metres or thereby.
Kilmelford
1. / That length of the Lochgilphead–Oban Road (A816) at Kilmelford, extending from a point 188 metres or thereby north of the extended north kerbline of the Kilmelford-Auchnasaul Road (U10), northwards to a point 190 metres or thereby north of the centreline of the Kilmelford-Kilchrenan Road (C29), a distance of 592 metres or thereby.
2. / That length of the Kilmelford-Kilchrenan Road (C29), extending from its junction with the Lochgilphead–Oban Road (A816), eastwards for a distance of 83 metres or thereby.
Clachan Seil
1. / That length of the B844 Kilninver-Ellenabeich Road at Clachan Seil, extending from a point 81 metres or thereby east of the centreline of Clachan Bridge in a generally south westerly direction to a point 439 metres or thereby south of the Cnoc a' Challtuinn Housing Scheme Road, a distance of 1769 metres or thereby.

Inveraray1. / That length of the Inveraray to Dalmally Road (A819), extending from a point 17 metres or thereby northwest of the access road to the Police Station, in a generally northerly direction to a point 405 metres or thereby south of the centreline of the bridge over Allt Riabhachan, a distance of 1416 metres or thereby.
Kilmore
1. / That length of the Lochgilphead-Oban Road (A816), extending from a point 219 metres or thereby south of the Barran-Kilmore Road (UC18) in a northerly direction to a point 537 metres or thereby north of the Feochan Cottages Housing Scheme Road, a distance of 1065 metres or thereby.
2. / That length of the Barran-Kilmore Road (UC18), extending from its junction with the Lochgilphead to Oban Road (A816) in a northeasterly direction to a point 2 metres or thereby northeast of the northeast boundary fence of the property known as “Allasdale”, a distance of 97 metres or thereby.
