Freedom of Information Request

You requested the following information from the Ministry of Justice:

It has been asked at a meeting I attended recently how much of prisoners clothing is made within the justice system? It has been suggested that the shoes issued to prisons are made actually in China?

·  Could you clarify where and how items are made please?

·  Which items are actually purchased

Our interest is in only clothing and footwear thank you

Your request has been handled under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

I can confirm that the Ministry of Justice holds information that you have requested, and I am pleased to provide this to you.
