Welcome to the 2017 Summer Institute. Thank you for your willingness to spend the first week of summer vacation with us!
The program will begin promptly at 8:45 AM each day. Please sign in and out, and complete a daily evaluation form. You are required to attend all sessions of the Institute in order to receive your 60 re-certification credits. The certificates will be awarded on Friday afternoon at the conclusion of the course. Any excused absence requires special approval.
Coffee, snacks, and lunch will be provided daily. Break times are scheduled each morning and afternoon, and presentations will conclude by 4:00 PM.
We are fortunate to have within Aiken County professionals in health and human services who volunteer their time to make the Summer Institute possible. The daily schedule is in your packet and can also be viewed on the Public Education Partners’ website: .
In addition, you have beenprovided with a thumb drive for downloading presenters’ PowerPoints and teaching materialsposted on the website.
Coordinators for the Institute will be available for 30 minutes after class everyday if you have items/questions you would like to discuss privately. If you would like to ask a question anonymously, please use the post-on your table and leave your question on the podium.
Should you need to reach us outside of class, please e-mail, call or text Dea Baldwin at or at 803-215-9317.
We look forward to getting to know you and learning together how to best serve children and families who challenge us.
