Nimibuth Stadium, National Stadium Rama-I Road, Pathumwan District, BangKok-10330, Thailand (Near MBK Center and Siam Paragon Center)

7)Event Schedules:

July 3: All players shall check in and attend the news conference organized by the Invitation Tournament Committee at Asia Hotel, Phayathai Road, Bangkok, where a leaders' meeting will also be held after dinner.

July 4: In the morning, there will be an opening ceremony at the Nimibuth Stadium,National Stadium Rama-I road, Pathumwan District, Bangkok-10330. The Table tennis contest will begin after the opening ceremony.

July 5: Contest all day

July 6: Contest all day. In the afternoon, players free from contest can visit the MBK Shopping Center, Siam Paragon Center Central World Shopping Mall or Scenic Spots of Grand Palace, Silom District, and feast their eyes on the beautiful night scene of Bangkok City.

July 7: The semi-final and final contest shall be carried out. Later, there will be an award ceremony feast. Last but not least, we will host a "Table Tennis Farewell Party" banquet at Asia Hotel, Phayathai District, Bangkok.

8) Entrance Eligibility:

All people who are forty years old or above (born on December 31, 1973 or before) can join in this contest.

9) Events and Age Categories:

9.1Men’s Team & Single aged 40 to 49 (born between 1964 - 1973)

9.2Men’s Team & Single aged 50 to 59 (born between 1954 - 1963)

9.3Men’s Team & Single aged 60 to 69 (born between 1944 - 1953)

9.4Men’s Team & Single aged above 70 (born in 1943 or before)

9.5Women's Team & Singlesaged 40 to 49 (born between 1964 - 1973)

9.6Women's Team & Singlesaged 50 to 59 (born between 1954 - 1963)

9.7Women's Team & Singlesaged 60 to 69 (born between 1944 - 1953)

9.8Women's Team & Singlesaged above 70 (born in 1943 or before)

10)Competition Format:

10.1All singles matches in the preliminary round shall be played to the best of Five(5)games.

All singles matches in the second round shall be played to the best of 5 games.

All teams matches in the preliminary round and second round shall be played to the best of Five(5) games.

10.2Both singles and team events shall be played in 2 stages.

The group round-robin system will be used in the qualifying round.

The Knock-out system will be used in second stage with play-offs.

10.3Team Events

10.3.1The Men’s Team evens shall be played using the swathing system as follow : A vs X, B vs Y, C vs Z, A vs Y, B vs X. (Minimum 3 and Maximum 4 players)

10.3.2The Women’s Team evens shall be played using the corbillon system as follow : A vs X, B vs Y, Doubles, A vs Y, B vs X. (Minimum 2 and Maximum 4 players)

10.3.3If there will be less than 4 entries in any category, teams will automatically play in the next younger category.

10.4Single Events

10.4.1If there will be less than 8 entries in any category, players will automatically play inthe next younger category.

11)Rules

11.1The tournament shall be conducted in accordance with the latest ITTF regulation for international competition.

11.2Proof of age must be available upon request.

11.3Player is allowed to participate in ONLY ONEage category.

11.4Older player is allowed to participate in the younger age category.

11.5The organizing committee reserves the right to amend the rules and regulations of this tournament at any time without prior notification. Any other rules that are not covered by this bulletin will be decided by the organizing committee whose decision will be FINAL.

12)Equipment

All equipments are of type approved by the ITTF.

13)Prizes

13.1Team Evens – Top four (4) teams in each category will be awarded with medals.

The Champion will also be presented with a trophy.

13.2Single Evens – Top four (4) players in each category will be awarded with medals. The Champion will also be presented with a trophy.

14)Expenses and Accident Insurance

All participants shall be responsible for their own expenses, including air tickets and insurance fee.

22)Cancellation and Walkover

Teams/players, who are late by more than fifteen(15) minutes from the time of calling as according to the fixture and schedule, are deemed to have conceded a walkover to the teams/players who are present.

23)Protests

An appeal committee shall be set up by the organizer to consider all protests and complaints. Such protests must be submitted in writing not later than thirty(30) minutes after the incident together with a deposit of USD. 100.00 in the event that the protest is upheld, a refund of the deposit will be made. Otherwise, the deposit is non-refundable. The decision of the organizer shall be final.

24)General Information

a.Besides the aforesaid rules, the rules and regulations of the international table tennis federation (ITTF) will also apply;

b.If there are matters, which arise, that are not covered in the aforesaid rules, the organizer will make the decision. All decisions are taken by the organizer are final.

c.The organizer reserves the right to change, postpone or cancel the competition if circumstances beyond its control arise.

29)Special single events will be held after finish all competition.

Special single events eligibility

Men’s Single : For every age category, The top eight(8) players from each age category will qualify for the special single events. Two(2) age categories to form 1 group. Knock out system will be used in this event.

This event shall be played to the best of 3 games, semi-final and final shall be played to the best of 5 games.

Age 40 – age 50 to form 1 group.

Age 60 – age 70 to form 1 group.

Age 40 give 1 point to age 50.

Age 60 give 1 point to age 70.

Women’s Single: For every age category. The top eight(8) players from each age category will qualify for the special single events. Four(4) age categories to form 1 group. Knock out system will used in this events.

This event shall be played to the best of 3 games, semi-final and final shall be played to the vest of 5 games.

Age 40 give 1 point to age 50, 2 points to age 60, 3 points to age 70.

Age 50 give 1 point to age 60, 2 points to age 70.

Age 60 give 1 point to age 70.
