The 6th annual Art for Awareness Contest
“What keeps you drug & alcohol free?”
How to Enter:
Chemung County students in grades 3-12 can submit an alcohol or drug prevention poster in the form of digital art or freestyle art (markers, ink, painting, etc.) Entry form MUST be submitted with art entry.
Size: Illustrations must be in LANDSCAPE form (horizontally) and must meet the following measurements. 8 ½” by 11” (letter size)

Rules:
- IllustrationMUST follow the theme of “What keeps you drug & alcohol free?” You do not need to write the theme on the poster
- Only one entry per student is allowed
- You may write a positive, short, catchy alcohol or drug prevention message or fact, or both
- Use original and copy-right free artwork
- Avoid using cartoon characters, actors/actresses, singers, or anything famous or copyrighted
- Avoid using brand name products on the poster
- By submitting your artwork and signing your entry form, you are giving Trinity and the Drug Free Community Coalition permission, without restrictions, to make, copyright, and/or use, re-use, or publish artwork.
- Entry must be submitted NO LATER THAN Friday, March 25th, 2016 at 3pm. Submission must be turned into your teacher/advisor, or sent to Trinity Prevention (217 Old Ithaca Road, Horseheads NY 14845)
- Showing of the artwork will take place April 1st- April 8thin the lobby of the 5 Star Bank Building in Elmira.
- All winners will be announced at the Banquet on April 15th, 2016. Art work can be picked up at the banquet. There will be a Grand Prize winner, and 1st & 2nd place winners –prizes are yet to be determined!
- Failure to fully complete this form may result in disqualification from the contest

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION: I understand that any damage or loss of artwork resulting from its inclusion in the Art for Awareness Contest and exhibitions is not the responsibility of any party involved in the contest or exhibitions, including but not limited to the Drug Free Community Coalition and Trinity of Chemung County. As the artist and lender of the artwork, I assume all risk of damage or loss. Furthermore, if my artwork is selected, I hereby give my permission to the Drug Free Community Coalition and Trinity of Chemung County to publish my artwork on their website, as well as to publicize my work through media at no charge.
