The Festival D’Avion, hosted at the Moore County Airport is a celebration of freedom and flight. The 2 ½-day event will offer a unique collection of special events/activities. Displays/exhibits, food & beverage options and entertainment for the entire family to enjoy. The five branches of the Military will be recognized with static aircraft displays honoring the men and women who currently serve in the armed forces and those who have retired from military service.
The 2018 Festival D’Avion will commemorate the 100th Anniversary of Fort Bragg.

We will make every effort to assign first Volunteer Assignment preference, but first preference does not guarantee assignment. The earlier your application is received the better your chances for getting the desired assignment. See information for committee descriptions.
Volunteer Uniform Information
All volunteers will receive one (1) golf shirt. Shirts are sized in men’s and women’s sizes.
Men and women willalso receive a cap. All volunteers will receive two (2) event tickets.

Legal Statement
The Volunteer expressly assumes all risk and danger incidental to attendance at the Festival D’Avion, including withoutlimitation, the risk of being on-sight at the event and releases Tarheel Communications Solutions, LLC, Droschak Communications, Moore County Airport, Pinehurst, LLC. and Pinehurst Country Club, participants, sponsors, vendors and all employees, officers, directors, agentsand representatives (and/or volunteers thereof) from any and all liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising out of or relating to volunteering for the Festival D’Avion. The Volunteer also assumes all risks of property loss at the Festival D’Avion.

Volunteer Position Overviews
Admissions/Will Call- Coordinate all activities for general admission tickets sales and to manage the ticket sales inside the main airport terminal, VIP parking area and on the on the airport tarmac for arriving aircraft. (Saturday - Sunday, April 28-29, 2018)
Required: 10 Volunteers- 9:00am-2:00pm, 2:00pm-7:00pm Saturday, 10 Volunteers- 9:00am-1:00pm, 1:00pm-5:00pm Sunday
Judging/Awards-Coordinate all activities for the judging and awards on Saturday/Sunday including aircraft awards and the BBQ Cook-off on Sunday.(Saturday – Sunday, April 28-29, 2018)
Required: 2 Volunteers- 9:00am-1:00pm, 1:00pm-5:00pm Saturday, 2 Volunteers- 9:00am-12:00pm, 12:00pm-3:00pm Sunday
Sponsor Hosts- Coordinate activities related to event sponsors and provide service needs for sponsors. (Saturday - Sunday, April 28-29, 2018)

Entertainment/Concert-Coordinate activities for the scheduled entertainment and celebration concert during the Festival D’Avion. Saturday – Sunday, April 28-29, 2018)

Media/Communications- Coordinate all media and communications activitiesduring the Festival D’Avion. (Saturday – Sunday, April 28-29, 2018)

Aircraft/Airport Marshalls(Aircraft/Airport Familiarity Required)-Assist airport staff with the coordination of aircraft movement/displays during the Festival D’Avion.
