OUR POLICIES

We have a number of policies in place at Hurly Burly Day Nursery which are available in long form for you to see at any time (in reception).

Our NURSERY AIMS TO: Provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment for every child while developing learning and development.

Admissions: We operate on a first come first serve basis. Places are secured with a £50 per child non refundabledeposit.

Equal Opportunities: We operate a full Equal Opportunities policy for staff and families alike.

Health & Hygiene: We promote healthy nutritional eating at Hurly Burly and a strict hygiene policy in all rooms. All snacks and food take into account each child’s needs and preferences. Unhealthy snacks will not be given. We cater for all allergies and dietary requirements.

All open cuts and sores must be covered with a plaster or dressing.

Good staff practises are observed to stop infection spreading such as the use of plastic gloves and aprons.

SAFETY: The nursery only takes responsibility for your child during the hours they are booked in with us for childcare and on the premises. Please make sure you are at the nursery by 6pm each night, at the latest, to collect your child. If a child is not collected, we have a procedure in place to ensure they are looked after by a member of our staff but this is enforced only in emergencies.

-Please keep your child at home for 48 hours after any infection or illness so that we can prevent infection at the nursery. Please let us know the nature of any infection so we can keep watch at the nursery or inform other parents if relevant.

We have fire and emergency procedures in place should there be a fire or power cut at the nursery. Please take a look at them in the office.

Please make sure the door is shut and locked behind you when you enter and leave the premises.

COMPLAINTS: We have a standard complaints procedure in place where you can complain to the Nursery Manager or owner if you need too. We also have Ofsted contact details should you feel you need to contact them. Please view our Complaints Policy in the hallway.
