Shadowing is a great opportunity to get a brief insight into an ever growing field that allows you to have a positive impact onpeople’s lives. In addition, being part of our organization will give you opportunities to grow your career.

Before coming for your scheduled shadowing visit, please visit the website, that will walk you through the requirements related to HIPAA. HIPAA protects patient confidentiality and we do everything necessary to protect and honor their privacy. As you fill in the information on the shadow site, your escort name is the name you submitted to scheduleyour shadowing appointment. The department will be Radiology. IMPORTANT! Before clicking Submit, print a copy of the filled in registration form and bringit with you when you come for your shadowing appointment.

You will need to provide a copy of your current shot record when you first come to the hospital. Occupational Health Infection Control policy requires all employees and contract employees to have up to date shots due to OSHA guidelines. If you are a student shadowing for clinical requirements, you will you will need to follow the entire OHS policy ( If you are shadowing for informational purposes you will only need to provide proof of Tuberculosis screening and show record of current hepatitis B immunization.

When you arrive at the hospital you will fill out the Confidentiality Agreement and provide a copy of your current shot record and the printed copy of the HIPAA registration form. This information along with the checklist below will be kept in our files in the Radiology Administration office for the time you are in the hospital. From there you will receive your visitor badge and begin your shadowing experience.
