From the classroom:

Hello everyone!
This month, we have been very busy in the Kindergarten and Grade 1 classroom.
In Math, the students have been working on Patterns. The Grade 1 students have been working on Mathletics.

In Language Arts, the Kindergartens have been working on letters s, a, t, i, n, c, k, and e. As well, the Kindergartens have been working on printing their first name and phonological awareness. The Grade 1 students have been working on reviewing letters of the alphabet, spelling, and reading.
We know it’s going to be a great year!

Mrs. Cordes

In grade 2-3, we are busy reading and responding to stories. We are also learning some strategies to write great paragraphs. In math, we are working with numbers to 100 (grade 2) and numbers to 1000 (grade 3).

The students came up with their rules to maintain a positive atmosphere. Ask them about it!

Mr. Chambers

Room 2 has started the year with working towards a growth mindset instead of a fixed mindset. Students are doing well with this concept and have taken steps to make their learning experiences more positive. In ELA, we are focusing on bumping up our writing and we are really excited to take part in our first global read aloud on twitter. Parents are free to follow us at @msmoser456! In math, we are reviewing multiplication skills and working on patterns and equations.
