Textbook: Collections 2- Students will also be able to access text on line.
Course Overview: English 2 is an in-depth study of World Literature and literary nonfiction including Night by Elie Wiesel.

Discipline
1st Offence- Verbal Warning
2nd Offence- Call or Email home
3rd Offence- Call/ after school detention
4th Offence- Call/ detention/ referral
*Serious offences result in immediate referral
Plagiarism
You will receive a zero for any assignment that is not documented properly; i.e. copy and pasting quotes without citing properly, and you will receive a referral.
Cheating
You and any other student(s) caught cheating will receive a zero for the assignment and you will receive a referral.
Make-up Work
If you missed a day of class please check the classroom calendar and ask for your assignments. You are responsible for remembering and obtaining it.
*Important Note per CCSD policy—a student has three (3) days to make up work!*
Late Work
Late work (not absent from school) is 10% each day.
Daily Materials
Failure to bring these materials every day will result in a substantial deduction in your participation grade.
(Participation falls under a 100 point test grade per quarter)
