Would like to earn a higher grade on your summer reading essay? Here’s your chance to earn up to 10 more points!

Choose 1 body paragraph of your essay to rewrite. Your rewrite will improve the paragraph in one or more of the following ways: add elements that might be missing (such as “right way,” “wrong way,” topic sentence, etc.), improve word choice, correct errors. Your rewritten paragraph will also be color-coded. The revised, edited and color-coded rewrite must be e-mailed to Profe BEFORE the end of break—yes, you can e-mail it to me by 11:59 P.M. on Sunday night, but why would you want to?

Text must be color-coded as follows:

>Topic sentence (intro sentence to the main idea of that paragraph—focus on the GHR, NOT a specific novel or character) must be blue. (1 pt)

”Right way” SPECIFIC example from the 1st novel will be green. (2 pts)

>”Wrong way” SPECIFIC example from the 1st novel will be red. (2 pts)

>”Right way” SPECIFIC example from the 2nd novel will be black. (2 pts)

>”Wrong way” SPECIFIC example from the 2nd novel will be orange. (2 pts)

General concluding sentence (to wrap up the idea from the paragraph) will be purple. (1pt)
