Introduction

Background Information on World Vision

World Vision is a Christian relief, development and advocacy organization dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice. World Vision projects may be grouped into three areas: 1) short-term emergency relief, such as providing food, shelter and medical care to victims of natural or man-made disasters; 2) long-term sustainable community development focusing on helping communities meet the needs its members identify, like clean water, education, health care, agricultural improvements and sanitation; and 3) working with policymakers and the public at the national, regional and global level to build awareness around poverty and to address the unjust systems that help perpetuate it.

In Albania World Vision works with children, their families and communities through Area Development Programs (ADP) in Elbasan, Vlora, Lezha, Kurbin, Librazhd, Shkodra, Dibra, Korça, Tirana, Durres and Kosovo.

Purpose of the Service

The purpose of this service is to provide to WVA&Kone qualitative video to:

  • Document the Youth Conference as an activity featuring what has happened at the event but also young people personal experience and learning in the conference and while engaging at the community level with World Vision.
  • The audience for the video is the wider public for informational purposes regarding WV Youth program and its impact in the communities.

The work is expected to be completed on September 15th, 2015.

Service expected results:

  1. Reviewing and editing all existing materials for each video idea
  2. Shoot filming at the conference venue, outside Tirana (most likely in Durres), to complete the video’s objective (around 2 -3 days filming).
  3. The trips will be coordinated by World Vision staff.
  4. World Vision will provide transport during trips within Tirana or other cities.
  5. Produce the final videos.
  6. Provide WV with the row materials

Roles and Responsibilities of the service provider

  • Revise the action plan together with WV staff and partners
  • Designing the draft ideas for the videos based on information shared and discussed with WV staff and partners
  • Offer professional service in terms of people, leverages and studio.
  • Complete the process of editing, voice over, subtitles in English and post-production on time
  • The hired Company will share and work closely with WV staff.
  • The final videos will be shared in two versions, 1 version with over voice in Albanian + 1 version with over voice in Albanian and subtitles in English
  • The final product will be shared in two version (row videos + plus edited version)
  • ©World Vision is the only owner of the all materials

Required/preferred experience and skills:

  • Expertise in creating professional videos and spots.
  • Expertise in production and post-production.
  • Ability to work under time constraints.
  • Very good planning and time management skills.
  • Good communication and writing skills in English
  • Availability during the entire process.
  • Acknowledge and comply to World Vision Child Protection Policy

Notes related to World Vision Albania Child Protection Policy

All people working for World Vision Albania, or visiting its programs are obliged to sign its Child Protection Policy and Behavior Protocols. This policy aims to create a child-safe organizational environment and is based on the principles of the UN CRC and its protocols.

Principles of child protection involve briefly but are not limited to:

-Treat children with respect and dignity

-Listen to children views and opinions

-Inform children parents/legal guardian/s and take a written consent before any interaction with children (this involves special written permission when it comes to photographs)

-Be sensitive to the child age and maturity, cultural background and local social and family norms and respect them

-Dress in culturally appropriate way.

-Always be in the company of another adult (preferably parent/legal guardian or teacher) when meeting a child

-All visitors to WV projects must be in the company of WV’s staff.

-Do not abuse with children (sexual, emotional, psychological and physical abuse).

*Please note that World Vision Albania WV personnel and visitors are expected to report any suspicious of child abuse to the national director immediately. WV has policy and procedures that respond to accusations, which allows for a process that respects all involved. World Vision Albania holds the position that adults are always responsible for their behavior with a child, even if a child is acting seductively.
