Terms and Conditions for theGET SMARTAt Your Library promotion (“the Promotion”)
The prize pool (“Prize Pool) consists of 5 private screenings of the filmGet Smart. Each screening includes full catering up to a specified value with food and non-alcoholic beverages.
The screenings are in each of the Capital cities as follows: NSW (Sydney) for the winner and 35 friends up to the total value of $1800; QLD (Brisbane) a private screening for the winner and 21 friends up to the total value of $1,050;VIC (Melbourne) a private screening for the winner and 23 friends up to the total value of $1,250; SA (Adelaide) a private screening for the winner and 29 friends up to the total value of $1,450; WA (Perth)a private screening for the winner and 29 friends up to the total value of $1,500.
The Total Prize Pool is Valued at - $7,050.
Sign upfor a library card at any of the participating libraries in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane during the period 9am Eastern Standard TimeMonday 8th July, 2008 and 5.30pm Eastern Standard Time,Sunday 20th July, 2008.Participating libraries will supply one (1) entry form (“Entry Form”) to the competition only per each new library card subscriber.
Complete the Entry Form with your name, address, and daytimecontact phone number. Place the completed Entry Form in the box provided by theparticipating library manager.
There will be a separate draw for each of the 5 screenings, drawn from the Entry Forms received in respect of the relevant participating States. The draws for the Prizes will take place atRoadshow Films, 1 Garden St, South Yarra,VICTORIA, 3141 on July 24th, 2008 at 3:30pmEastern Standard Time.
The winners will be contacted by phone and mail and the winners’ names will be published in The Australian newspaper onMonday,28th July 2008.
If any part of the Prize Pool remains unclaimed as ofMonday 4th August, 2008, a second chance draw will be conducted on that date at 12pm, atRoadshow Films,1 Garden St, SouthYarra, VICTORIA, 3141.
The winner or winners of the second chance draw will be contacted by phone and mail and the winner’s names will be published in The Australian newspaper onMonday, 11th of August2008.
The Prize must be taken on the dateand at the time specified by the Promoter (please note this will be within 3months of the prize draw). If the winner is unable to attend the private screening on the date and at the time specified by the Promoter the winner must notify the Promoter who may in their absolute discretion nominate another time if reasonably practicable. Alternatively, the winner may choose to nominate a representative to attend on their behalf.
The Prize must be taken at a location nominated by the Promoter.
All prizes must be taken as offered and are not exchangeable, transferable, redeemable for cash or able to be taken at another cinema in part or in whole. Private screening tickets may not be resold,exchanged forcash or cinema tickets.
No extension of the validity date of this prize will be permitted.
The promoter of this competition isRoadshow Films Pty Ltd (ACN 100 746 870) of 1 Garden Street, SouthYarra, Victoria.
- The Promoter’s decision in respect of any aspect of this promotion is final and binding on every entrant. No correspondence will be entered into.
The Promoter reserves the right to check the validity of all entries.
The Promotion is not open to employees ofthe Promoter and theirimmediate family members, or tothe employees and immediate family members of the participating State libraries.
The Promotion is open to residents of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane Adelaide and Perth only.
If the winner is under the age required to view the movie, the prize will be awarded to the winner’s parent or guardian.
- The personal information collected on the Entry Form is collected to enable identification of the winner and will only be disclosed to the Promoter and the participating cinemas for these purposes.

- The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability or merchantability of any goods or services offered as prizes. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any loss suffered to person or property by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by the Promoter or its employees or agents, in connection with the arrangement for the supply, or the supply, of goods and services by any person to the prize winner and, where applicable, to any persons accompanying the prize winner. This clause does not effect any rights a consumer may have which are unable to be excluded under Australian law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, any liability of the Promoter or its employees or agents for breach of any such rights is limited to the payment of the costs of having the prize supplied again.
