Midnight Walk
Terms and Conditions 2018
1. General
a. These booking terms and conditions apply to everyone who takes part in the Midnight Walk.
b. These terms and conditions contain important information regarding participation, and upon entry you agree to and accept these terms and conditions.
c. All participants taking part in the Midnight Walk do so at their own risk. In no event shall St Luke's (Cheshire) Hospice be liable for any injuries, loss or damages whatsoever, including indirect, punitive, special, incidental or consequential losses connected with any aspect of this event.
d. If necessary you should gain advice from your GP as to whether you are physically prepared to undertake the challenge.
e. Photographs will be taken of participants throughout the event, these will be used on promotional materials. It is the participant’s responsibility to let staff know at registration if you do not want to appear in any such materials.
2. Booking process, prices and payment
a. The entry fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
b. All ages of participants are welcome to take part in the Midnight Walk. You must be female to enter this event.
c.The first 30 to register will receive an early bird registration price of £15.00. After this registration is charged at £20 for those who are willing to pick their T-shirt up from the hospice (you will be notified of the T-shirt pick up days) and £23 for those who wish to have their T-shirt posted out.
d.You are not permitted to use any of the sponsorship money that you raise in relation to Midnight Walk to pay for your expenses. If you do not pass all of the money that you raise to St Luke’s (Cheshire) Hospice you may be committing a criminal offence.
3. Safety
a. Female children aged under 16 are welcome but must be accompanied by a person of 18 years of age or older who is a registered participant.
b. All minors must be accompanied by an adult who will be responsible for their safety throughout the event. This must be the same registered participant
c. Disabled entrants are welcome to take part. Please contact the Hospice prior to booking to establish whether the event is suitable for you.
d. On no account is alcohol to be brought into the event site or consumed during the event. St Luke’s (Cheshire) Hospice reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone under the influence of alcohol.
4. Clothing
a. Participants must wear the Midnight Walk T-shirt on the night of the event but please come prepared for any weather eventuality
5. Changes to the event
a. St Luke’s Cheshire Hospice reserve the right to alter the start time of the event at any time.
6. Cancellation
a. St Luke’s (Cheshire) Hospice reserve the right to cancel this event at any time. In the event of this happening, entry fees and sponsorship will be refunded in full.
7. Data protection
a. The information you provide at registration will be shared only with that organisation, it will not be passed to or shared with any other organisation.
