Kenntnisse über Parasiten und Parasitosen können fächerübergreifend im Erdkundeunterricht (Verbreitung, Klimaabhängigkeit der Parasitosen, Massentourismus) und im Geschichtsunterricht (Fleckfieber, Pest) angewendet werden.
