R&DVSA has a team of over 100 employees working in the areas of clinical practice, research and training and has an annual turnover of 10 million dollar turnover which is growing due to the Australian National Plan to Reduce Violence against Women and their Children 2010‐2022

The Role

You will work as part ofour telephone and online counselling team to provide telephone and online counsellingto those whose lives have been impacted by sexual assault and/or domestic violence.

R&DVSA holds an exemption under the Anti-Discrimination Act and only employs female telephone and online counsellors.

Duties

  • Provide focused, compassionate and ethical counselling
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individual therapeutic plans
  • Advocate for clientsandassistaccessing services/supports
  • Negotiate and maintain interagency clinical care plans
  • Access debrief/handover

Skills and experience

  • Incorporate feminist perspectives in counselling frameworks
  • Understand causes andconsequencesof sexual assault& DV
  • Minimum bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or counselling.
  • Significant relevant counselling experience
