The South Carolina Association for Educational Technology recognizes that there are many outstanding programs and activities in our state that showcase innovative uses of technology in education. The SCAET Technology Innovative Program Awards have been established to honor those best practices.

This year’s recipients will be recognized at the South Carolina EdTech 2017 Conference in Myrtle Beach, SC, October 25-27, 2017, during the Awards Ceremony Luncheon.

Up to one award may be given in each category: Elementary, Middle, High School, and District. Merit of Honor awards may also be extended to runner-ups in each category. Within each category there are three levels of institution size:

Level I classification = Student enrollment up to 500

Level II classification = Student enrollment up to 1,000 students

Level III classification = Student enrollment over 1,000 students

Level IV classification = Districts with up to 3,999 students

Level V classification = Districts with up to 9,999 students

Level VI classification = Districts with over 10,000 students

Each category winner will receive two complimentary registrations to SC EdTech 2017 Conference, recognition during the Awards Ceremony Luncheon (October 26, 2017), complimentary exhibit space in the Showcase Lounge, and other valuable prizes.

The following guidelines must be followed when submitting a program initiative for consideration of recognition:

  • Applications must be submitted online by August 31, 2017 at: No late applications will be considered.
  • Only complete applications will be considered.
  • No additional materials will be considered. Program or initiative description not to exceed 250 words.
  • At least one representative from each winning school must be present at EdTech in Myrtle Beach, SC on October 26, 2017. Two complimentary registrations will be given to each winning school.
  • The winning schools must present an article on their winning program in electronic format to be posted on the SC EdTech website at:
