Technical Bulletin for Coaches and Officials

Thank you for registering your swimmers for the upcoming October Opener Meet. This bulletin provides some important information regarding the weekend. Please take a moment to review it

**SCRATCHES ARE DUE AT THE START OF WARMUPS **

PAYMENT FOR ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED BY START OF WARMUPS for clubs to participate. Please see meet Treasurer, Colleen Cossey.

1.MEET UPDATES:

Deck entries will be permitted as long as an extra heat is not created.

There is marshaling on deck. Please ensure your swimmers are present well in advance of their race to ensure they do not miss their race. We will be unable to delay the meet due to missed races.

A coaches’ technical meeting will take place on 845 amin the southeast corner of the pool near the Keyano office.

Taping of any sort requires a medical note and approval by the referee prior to warm ups and participation in the meet.

Awards will not be given. Swimmers will receive best time ribbons for the 25 m events.

2.FACILITY INFORMATION

There will be no accreditation passes needed to access the pool.

Swimmers and coaches can enter the pool deck through the stairs in the north west corner of the spectator area near the warm up pool.

Swimmer camp areas will be in the bleachers on deck. Please ensure your swimmers pick up the garbage in their area.

Heat sheets will not be provided for spectators, but will be posted in the viewing area.

Wifi –“Open City Wifi” – no password needed.

Meet results will be uploaded to Meet Mobile and posted on deck and in the spectator area near the windows to the workout room.

Hospitality will be on deck level in the hospitality room. Light breakfast, snacks and light lunch will be provided for officials and coaches.

3.WARM UPS

Warm Up is in the West pool. For cool down SOME lanes will be open in the large pool located behind the swimmer camps. The other lanes will be blocked off for the public. PLEASE respect the markings.

There will be a coaches meeting at 845 am in the northwest corner of the pool to go over all specific details. Please ensure your team sends a representative to this meeting. / 9:00-9:55 am
Open / PLEASE ensure your swimmers report to marshaling well in advance as we will not have time to delay any races to wait for them or to add them if an event is missed / 2:00 pm
PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOUR SWIMMERS CLEAN UP THEIR AREAS BEFORE LEAVING THE
POOL DECK!
