Website One

1. The first website out of the five I am choosing is titled “Prescription Drugs”. When I clicked on the link, it brought me to the URL . The website looks to be about informing people on different drugs they have been prescribed by their doctor so that they can familiarize themselves with it.

2. Overall I would give this site a fairly good score in aesthetics and usefulness. I clicked on some of the related topic links, which opened up useful information on topics like “Drug Safety”, which is important to know when taking medications.

3. The main thing that I noticed on this website is that the pictures are overlapping. I would use a table to put the pictures in and line then up as opposed to overlap them. I would create the table without boarders so that it seems invisible when clients were looking at the site.

4. This website has links to their social media which is important, but I would add a section about news/ what’s trending in medicine to the website. This way people could familiarize themselves with popular medical topics being discussed in the world.

5. I chose to search my current medication I am taking to see if the recommendations/warning my doctor gave me were available through this site. I found the information matched what I had been told and also researched before started my current medicine regiment. This is why I find this website credible.

6. After graduation I want to continue on and become a teacher. I could link this website to my expert page which is all of my work on a course I have written thus far. I would use this information to educate students on the safety of medication and why you shouldn’t just take what someone hands you.

7. This website does not have a calculator or quizzes, but it does give a well-managed and organized list of popular drugs in alphabetical order. As I mentioned, I clicked on my medication and the information loaded quickly and easily.

Website Two

1. The second link I chose to click on was titled “Medical Demos”. The URL for this site is .

2. I liked the use of color on this site by adding lots of pictures to go with the topics they are discussing. Some of the pictures are even animated or in slide show form which is a nice touch as well. They also have all of their other material under headings, which makes it neat and organized to find.

3. Personally, I don’t see anything major that I would immediately change. If I had to choose one thing though I would add music to go with their slide show when you first open the page.

4. I would add more information about human anatomy rather than a lot of the biology videos they have to click on. This way people could become more educated about the human body and why things work the way they do.

5. I was not exactly familiar with a lot of the information that this site has to offer. I clicked on one like titled “The Biology of Skin Color”. This video explained how and why different people in the world have different skin colors. The information seemed to be fairly credible when I looked it up after watching the video.

6. The school I currently substitute for has the students do reading initiative where they have to read information or articles pertaining to the course material and answer an online quiz. I would use some of this articles/videos as my links for these quizzes to keep the kids interested in what they are reading and watching.

7. This site does not have a calculator function, but the videos open and load easily. I also clicked on the resource types to see what else this site had to offer and it is neatly laid out and well organized. The material offered here is also easy to access as well.

Website Three

1. For the third website I chose the site titled “ Coronary Heart Risk”. The URL for this site is .

2. I’m not totally a fan of this site. Personally, for my I think it has way too much information jammed on to the page. The font is too small and the site itself looks very busy.

3. I would make it more aesthetically pleasing by organizing the information under different headings or in tables. I would also make the font size bigger for those people who may have trouble reading. I think the current lay out is a little jumbled for all the information that they are trying to display so I would offer other links to click on to help spread out some of this information.

4. I don’t think this website needs content added, I think it just really needs to be displayed better. It is a lot to take in when you first open the webpage and it is easy to loose track of what information you are looking for.

5. Out of everything we have learned in the HPFM program, the information on the risk factors is accurate. I don’t think its display symbolizes their importance though.

6. This website could be used in health classes when going over the risk factors of coronary heart disease.

7. I chose to click on the link that assed my risks. This opened up a “calculator” that was a series of ten pages. The information was laid out very neatly and in an organized fashion compared to the homepage. I calculated my risk to be in the low category.

Website Four

1. The forth webpage I clicked on was titled “Blood Flow Through the Heart”. The URL for this page is .

2. I like the way this site is laid out. All of the information is well placed and together. You do not have to go far to find the information that this website is intended to display.

3. My only suggestion is to add the actual sound of a heartbeat that corresponds with the heart beat animation. This would give the website a more life-like feel.

4. The only content I would really add is an explanation of what each part of the heart is and it’s main job. I would also add things like what it looks and sounds like when someone has different conditions such as a heart murmur.

5. This website seems very accurate compared to the information I have learn in Dr. Biren’s classes and as an athletic training major. You can pull these same types of videos up on Youtube and they match identically to the information being displayed on this page.

6. This website would be great for an Anatomy class to really explain the movement of blood through the heart. It could also work in an exercise physiology class to better understand stroke volume and coronary output.

7. This website does not have a calculator function, but I did click through the different heart beat animations that it displayed. They all loaded easily and worked well. I just wish they had a sound to match the animation.

Website Five

1. The last link I chose to use for this project is titled “Gross Anatomy Dissection Videos”. The URL is .

2. This website offers a lot of information at first glance, which is good, but it is rather bland. It could use more images to help describe the information it is explaining. I wouldn’t give this site a poor rating, I have just seen better sites out there.

3. My suggestion would be to absolutely add images to help better describe the information.

4. I don’t necessarily think this website needs more content, if they chose to add more topics for orthopedic surgery, such as the knee, that would be very interesting.

5. This information is a bit over my educational knowledge, all though I am familiar with a lot of the topics. I did some further research about Cesarean Sections just to learn a bit more, and this websites information was credible compared to what I found.

6. I think this website may be a little too beyond the curriculum at the high school I work for. It is very interesting, but doesn’t exactly fit a high school setting.

7. I clicked on several of the videos and they all seemed to load just find on my computer. There is a fine print under them that state they a compatible with QuickTime player. I would suggest they use a better way of uploading videos to their website that is more universal so that people without this program on their computer can load and watch the video content.
