Agenda Item / Discussion / Action/Follow-up
Committees / Hopefully everybody has submitted their name to be on a committee.
Year Book / There is a committee.
Break it off into sub committees, with a person working on this aspect, one working on that aspect. / Pick a book with a nice cover that is appropriate for the whole school.
Has to be turned into the company BY APRIL 1 in order to get it turned in on time.
Create a folder with your name and grade level on it,
Price difference- soft cover vs. hard cover.
BEST Practices / Continue on with PLC’s
Must be done with Fidelity
Follow the Schedule- Dr. Cone comes in and sits in on them.
NEED to be ONTIME- no excuse for being late. PLC’s might become every single week instead of every other week. IF you have duty, leave duty at 215 instead of 225, in order to start at 220.
We do work very hard; we are always changing and evolving.
Chapel Trail: Would like to go visit the school to see what they are doing there, other practices.
How do you know if Enrichment and remediation are working? RE-assess the students, what engagement, the discussion for the students. What student evidence, teacher observation?
Maybe in reading you have groups that change based upon what you are working on.
Cycle2- There is a list of students who are gong to be evaluated by psychologist.
Interventions have to be done for 6-9 weeks. At Tier2, what are YOU specifically doing with this child? You MUST have an intervention; the referrals mean nothing without it.
PLC/RtI/Relationships / Still discussing data at PLC’s
More focused on Rubrics/Scales this year.
We are using a curriculum map this year.
What are we doing for enrichment and remediation for the students?
Formative Assessments- Look in your BOOK of EVERYTHING. Can be observations,
Make sure you are tracking the DATA. What are you doing for the students who are missing it? Look at their attendance, etc.
How often do you do your remediation? What does it include? Is it immediate, next day, next week? What do you do?
Remediation: working in a small group with students that did not do well on their assessment for a specific standard, this group can change, do small group. Create a Center, etc.
We should be talking about learning goals and scales during team meeting/PLC.
Where are we pulling from for remediation? Common Core Math, FSA assessments, CPalms, Readworks.org
For behavior, put a tape box on the floor, now you can track how often the student is out of area, its an intervention because that is “their space”
Need to know before 6-8 weeks if the intervention is not working. Keep checking and change as needed.
iReady / Assigning assessments according to standards.
Assessments to be collected for grade level / 4/5 do FAIR.
Is there a Training for New Teachers? Are they allowed to go? / What interventions do we use? Fluency based, comprehension based, etc.
Are you referring your students for Tier2 now?
Engage NY support / We need help,
Journeys and Go Math / They are a NO NO / He wants to see evidence of Engage NY, Journeys is a RESOURCE, with other things being pulled from other areas.
Assessments are now called “standard assessments”, no longer “chapter tests”
Engage NY / Blended Model- use go math as a correlated supplement.
The sprint- good for Math Fluency. / Engage NY doe not spiral.
Be a little more creative with the Engage NY, its very scripted.
Use wiki- engage NY is going to be uploaded.
Illustrativemath- Google. Has performance task.
Learnzillion- good for fluency/applications
Google elementary Math Wiki
Marzano 7 High Frequency / When doing observations, these things are not often seen.
Grading Processes / Look over and let Dr. P know if its ok.
Split Class Lists / Need to be turned into Jill ASAP.
Take the days you need, be aware that often no subs come. Sub plans need to be left with things to do. / Some subs don’t want to come here because they are not treated nicely, they are forced to turn in their keys, getting yelled at, etc.
Lesson Plans / Must be on your desk, OPEN to current week, available. / ESE plans, ESOL plans, accommodations, etc.
5 standards for accreditation / 33 school elements.
