Writing: Students will read an informational text and respond to a prompt to write an informative/expository text in which they introduce a topic, use facts and definitions to develop a point, and providing a concluding statement or section
Social Studies: Students will label Canada, the United States, Mexico, and the Caribbean Islands on an unlabeled political map of North America
Math: Students will explain why addition and subtraction strategies work, using place value and the properties of operations and mentally add 10 or 100 to a given number 100-900, and mentally subtract 10 or 100 from a given number 100-900
Science: Students will record observations of soil found on school campus as seen through a hand lens and explain the basis of soil compositions and how soil is formed

Reading: Engage in SIPPS Lessons 6-10, read the Preamble, discuss the meaning behind the phrases, introduce context clues and how to identify meanings of unknown words, complete a circle map of how the constitution helps us, review the 3 branches of government and complete a Tree Map
Writing: Read “Using lands in different ways” and identify what type of area you would want to live in and write a paragraph
Social Studies: Review the 7 Continents, create a list of the countries located in North America, create a 4-door foldable including facts about each country
Math: Watch Flocabulary videos and review on Kahoot on Place Value and Skip counting, VMT (Volusia Mathematics Test)
Science: Create a Circle Map of soil and discuss where and what it is used for, complete student response sheet after analyzing soil, complete Science Fusion workbook pages 53-60 (over 2-day span), What is Soil-Lesson 2 Quiz
