Course Information: This course is designed to open your eyes to the field of psychology. Psychology examines human behavior and its influences on one’s own life and behavior. This class will examine a variety of topics including, but not limited to: Development of Human Life, the Brain, Senses and Sensations, Mental Disorders, Personalities, and several other topics.

*Any work turned in to the teacher in a different color will not be accepted and the student will be asked to redo the assignment, unless otherwise specified.
Scoring Breakdown:
- Assignments and test/quizzes will make-up your class grade.
- Extra Credit: Extra credit will be given occasionally, so when offered be sure to take the time to complete the assignment. However, please note the following: Extra credit is just that, extra. Therefore to be able to receive extra credit all other assignments must be turned in to the teacher. Check the twitter page for interesting facts and extra credit
- Late Assignments: Assignments are to be turned at the beginning of class, or when assignment is due, to your class’s folder.
- Make-up Assignments: Make-up assignments are to be turned in within the time period of the missed class. It is your responsibility to retrieve the assignment from the folder on the bulletin board and must be turned in within the appropriate time frame.
Rules of the classroom:
1.)Respect the things in this classroom and the people within it.
2.)There is no sleeping or laying your head down in class. If you are not feeling well please let me know and we will work something out.
3.)Tardy: Beginning tomorrow tardies will begin to count against you as a student. Three tardies will result in a Saturday detention, so do not be late.
4.)The following is not to be used in class:cell phones or video games. Please turn these off prior to you entering the classroom and please consider this your warning.Thank you
- iPods and other MP3 devices can be used during your assignment time or study time. Use of these during any other time will result in the device disappearing until the end of the school day. This includes using the device during lectures, videos, or presentations.
5.)Food and Drinks: Food and Drinks are allowed in my class. However, this is a privilege which can be pulled away from a student. If you make a mess be sure to clean it up!
6.)Hall Passes: Restroom privileges will be given to students who ask during the appropriate time frame. However, the teacher holds the right to decline that privilege if the time is inappropriate. Please try to take care of any restroom needs in between classes.
7.)Trash: Trash goes in the appropriate bin. There is a recycling bin for cans/bottles and paper. Anything that is not one of these goes in the trash can. Any trash found inside a desk will result in the student staying after school to clean the classroom.
8.)End of Class: Stay in your seat until the bell rings or until the teacher dismisses you. Failure to do so will result in the appropriate penalty.
