Christmas Holidays

December 21-January 5

School reopens on Monday, January 6th, 2014.

OUTSIDE PLAY – Grades 1-3

To encourage active living, we take the children outside every day if the weather permits and temperature is above -150C. Now that it has gotten colder outside, please ensure that your child is dressed warmly for outside play (warm jacket, hat, snowpants, mittens, etc.).

BUDDY CLOTHING

We hope to receive orders before Christmas. We will let you know when they arrive.

SKATING SAFETY

We are asking that all skates be put in a bag (not plastic) or make sure they have skate guards on them. This will help ensure the safety of all children while skates are being transported to and from school and the arena. Also, ALL students are required to wear ski/wind pants, gloves/mittens, and a helmet. No skating tights and dresses please. Thank you for your cooperation.

PLEASE NOTE when sending money to school for various things please put it in a baggie or envelope with a note for what it is for. This would greatly help us. Thank you.

Buddy’s Word for November

“Cheerfulness”

Happy, enthusiastic, pleasant; seeing the good in things

A cheerful outlook brings sunshine into our lives. Cheerful people are always welcome for they bring joy and happiness that inspires the spirit of everyone around them. Cheerfulness is contagious! When we feel cheerful, we infect those around us with cheerfulness.

Let’s work together to instill in our children the value of happiness and the ability to see the good in things.

We are very pleased and proud with the transformation of our Library into a Learning Resource Center! This room is now child friendly offering a free flowing learning environment with technology and other resources. Students are now engaged in project based learning through centers! A lot of wonderful creations can be seen!

We are also very happy with our new gym floor! It provides us with wonderful colors and cushion for running and jumping! The walls are also now bright and offer a warm environment.

As you can see, both rooms proudly display Buddy! A great big Buddy thank you to Ms Packwood who painted them both!
