Teacher Incentive Fund

2010 Intents to Apply

The following is a list of those entities that submitted a statement of intent to apply for the 2010 Teacher Incentive Fund (TIF) program competitions. Submission of this statement of intent to apply is optional; applicants may apply regardless of whether they have submitted an intent to apply, and submission has no impact on review of applications. Rather, the Department uses these statements solely to help it plan logistics for the panel reviews of submitted applications. While we had requested this form be submitted to us by June 1, 2010, we urge eligible entities that have not yet submitted a statement of intent but believe that they will apply to submit the statement to us now at .

Please note that some of the entities that have submitted their intent to apply may not be eligible to receive a TIF award. Eligible applicants are State educational agencies (SEAs), local educational agencies (LEAs) including charter schools that are LEAs within their States, and partnerships comprised of (1) of one or more SEAs and/or one or more LEAs and (2) one or more non-profit organizations. Private schools and for-profit charter schools are not eligible. In addition, current TIF grantees are ineligible to be funded unless they propose to use TIF funds available under this competition to expand their existing performance-based compensation system to a new group of LEAs, or to a new group of high-need schools or school personnel not already impacted by their current TIF grant.
