Tax Deductible Donations
Dear Parents,
Would you like to do more for the school? If so, you can still help out by making a tax deductible donation to BLPS because we have two Australian Taxation Office (ATO) endorsed gift recipient funds. You can make a donation at any time of the year but annually, at this time of year as we count down to the end of the financial year, we remind parents and friends of the school to think of us when deciding on how to spend your donation dollar. Please notereceipts will be issued to include with your tax records.
At Blackburn Lake Primary School we have an ongoing commitment to improving our school environment and learning outcomes. By making a tax deductible donation you can help us improve our buildings by donating to our Building Fund and/or expand our library by donating to our Library Fund.
Building Fund
The law states that that the money from this fund can only be used for the acquisition, construction and maintenance of the school’s buildings.
This year we have identified painting theboy’s and girl’s toilets as the target area for expenditure of this Fund’s money. The expected cost of doing this is around $5,000. Any money we receive from you this year will go towards completing this important maintenance project.
Library Fund
The law stipulates that the money from this fund is used solely for the purchase of books and equipment forstudents and staff.This year we have received $1,000 in donations which has already been spent on books for the Library. Any further monies we receive will also be used to expand our library.
