1. Introduction (Bold, put 1/2 blank line above and below the section title)

1.1 Fundamentals (Bold)

Manuscripts should be categorized as Regular Paper, Note, Rapid Report, or Technical Report. These are classified by the principle stated in the “Instructions for Authors”. The author is requested to refer to the “Instructions for Authors” and to prepare the manuscript in conformity to it.

In the first place, show the category of the manuscript at the top left corner of the title part, where a default -Regular Paper- is previously indicated. The font is Arial.

1.2 Style of the title part of the article

The title part includes (1) title, (2) authors’ full names, and (3) authors’ institutions and addresses. These are all in central alignment, and single spaced, with an exception that half space is prescribed above and below the part (2). In case that the part (2) extends over 2 lines, readjust the line space so as to remain half space only above the first line and below the last line.

In case of a single author or authors of a single institution, avoid any numeral indicating their relation.

2. Remarking points in preparing a manuscript

(1) Page disposition should be fixed as

Margins: Top 20 mm, and others 15 mm

Center space: 7 mm

Number of lines: 50

Authors are requested to refrain from changing this disposition.

(2) Section headings and subsection headings have to follow this template in their style and line space. Arbitrary heading style is allowed for further sub-sectioning.

(3) In the abstract, authors should summarize their objective of the research, methods and conclusions. References to figures, tables and literatures given in the main body of the article should be omitted because they are not available to abstracting services.

(4) Abstract in Japanese is recommended to be given at the last part as shown in this template. In particular, Japanese authors who intend to display their affiliations and addresses in Japan can do it only here.

3. Figures and tables

3.1 General remarks about figures and tables

In preparing figures and tables, follow the instructions below, which are quotations from the “Instructions for Authors”.

(1) Tables should be prepared in a form consistent with recent issues of this journal and should be consecutively numbered with Arabic numerals. Explanatory material should be given in the table legends and footnotes.

(2) Figures: Submit an original figure. Line drawings must be clear, with high black and white contrast. Each figure should be consecutively numbered with Arabic numerals. Appropriate sized numbers, letters and symbols should be used, no smaller than 1.5 mm in size. Set the line width to greater than 0.5 point (about 0.2 mm). Create your figures using applications that are capable of preparing camera-ready file acceptable for publication. The author will be charged for each color page.

3.2 How to insert figures and tables

Occasionally, the positions of figures (or tables) pasted in the text are unstable. In order to make the manuscript with their positions certainly fixed, the following way of insertion is recommended.

(1) Copy the figure on the source file.

(2) Make a blank line at the aimed position, and put the caret on the line.

(3) From the Edit menu, paste with the selection of “Picture” type.

(4) After selecting the pasted figure by clicking, pull down the Style menu and select “Object”. In the Object dialogue box, select “Layout” tab, and confirm the disposition is In-line.

(5) Arrange the size and position of the figure by putting the cursor at its bottom right and the caret at the bottom left corners, respectively, and adjusting them.

(6) Give the figure caption on the next line(s) of each figure. Give the title and other explanations on the previous line(s) for a table.

(7) Use “MS Gothic font” in figures and “Times New Roman” in tables

It is recommended to prepare the abstract written in Japanese here, however it is essential.
