Sanction:This meet is held under sanction of USA Swimming Inc., and New Mexico Swimming Inc., Current USA Swimming and NMS rules will govern the conduct of this meet. NMS Sanction Number: NMS 10C03
Location: Taos Youth and Family Center Pool, Taos, New Mexico
Elevation: 7003 ft
Directions: From Espanola, drive north on Highway 68 to Taos. At the intersection of Highway 68 and Highway 585,turn right. The Taos visitor center is on the southeast corner. Drive east about one mile, at the third round about, you will need to exit towards the north. The Taos Youth and Family Center, a large pueblo style building is at this intersection. The pool is on the west side of the structure and can be identified by its’ large windows.
Facility: The Taos Youth and Family Center pool is an indoor 25-yard, 8 lane facility. The pool varies in depth from 3’6” to 7’. The pool is equipped with wave suppressing lane lines and a Colorado Timing system and scoreboard. The facility is equipped with permanent rollout bleachers with seating for approximately 270.

Format:1)The 8 & Under Finals is a timed final meet consisting of competition in the 6& Under, 7 year old, and 8 year old age groups. All events will be pre-seeded.
Eligibility: Competitors must be 2010 USA Swimming registered. The swimmers age on February 21, 2010 will govern the age group participation.
Coaches: Coaches must be fully 2010 certified and display member cards at all times.
Entries:Please submit all entries on Hy-tek THERE WILL BE A $25 SUR-CHARGE PER TEAM FOR ENTRIES NOT SUBMITTED ON HY-TEK. (This fee does not apply to Teams of 5 or less swimmers registering for the meet.)
Entry Fees:Individual Events:$3.00
Relays:$8.00 per team
NMS Surcharge: $3.00
Pool Fee:$4.00
Deck Entries: $5.00 per individual event. $15 per Relay. Deck entries will be accepted only where lanes are available. New heats will not be created for deck entries. Deck entries must be completed 30 minutes prior to the start of the meet. 2010 USA Swimming registration card must be shown at the time of deck entry. NO ON DECK REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED. LATE ENTRIES MUST BE PAID FOR AT TIME OF ENTRY. ALL MEET FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

USA Swimming Athlete members must be under the supervision of a USA Swimming member coach during warm-up, competition and warm-down

Warm-up:NMS meet warm up procedures will be followed. A coach member of USA Swimming must supervise all swimmers during all warm-up sessions. If necessary, warm-up times and lane assignments will be adjusted per team.
Awards:Medals will be awarded for all individual events 1st – 3rd place. Ribbons will be awarded for fourth through eighth place of each individual event. Ribbons will also be awarded for each member of each relay team that finishes in first through eighth place. Each Swimmer will receive a participation ribbon.
