TALTY CITY COUNCIL MEETING

The Talty City Council will hold their regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, immediately following the Planning & Zoning Commission Public Hearing, beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Trinity Family Church, 9670 CR 214, locatedat the intersection of FM 1641 and I-20, to consider the following:

  1. Call to Order: Call meeting to order and announce a quorum.
  1. Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance: Please rise for the invocation and pledge.
  1. Citizen Participation:Citizens wishing to address the City Council may do so at this time. Each citizen will have three minutes to address the Council.

1. Presentation of the Planning and Zoning recommendation on a request foramending the zoning ordinance and map to change the zoning designation of 274.015 acres of property identified as Property ID #16132 with the Kaufman County Appraisal District (currently zoned Residential-1 and Commercial) and 2.13 acres of property identified as Property ID #54114 with the Kaufman County Appraisal District (currently zoned Commercial)

2.Public hearing on a request for an amendment to the City of Talty’s zoning ordinance and map to change the zoning designation of 274.015 acres of property identified as Property ID #16132 with the Kaufman County Appraisal District (currently zoned Residential-1 and Commercial) and 2.13 acres of property identified as Property ID #54114 with the Kaufman County Appraisal District (currently zoned Commercial) to a planned development district allowing residential, commercial, and multifamily uses, and establishing development regulations for said district. The area is generally located south of I-20, just west of the Trinity Family Church, on the North East Corner of CR 214 and FM 1641.

4. An update by BGE on the road project and the re-engineered plans for Michael Talty Avenue portion of the 2017 Roadway Improvements – Phase I.

5.Discussion and approval of the Re-engineered plans for Michael Talty Avenue portion of the 2017 Roadway Improvements – Phase I.

6.Discussion and approval of the January 16, 2018 Minutes.

7.Discussion and approval of the January 2018 Financial Report.

8.The City Council will convene into closed Executive Session pursuant to Section 551.074

(a) (1) of the Texas Government Code to deliberate the employment evaluation, assignment, duties, discipline or dismissal of a public officer or employee: Police Chief Michael Hoskins

The City Council will reconvene into Regular Session and take any action necessary.
