Continuing Education Academic Scholarship
Information for Interested Applicants
The application is in Word format and MUST be typed. No handwritten applications will be accepted. (This applies only to the actual application)
Sacramento Tall Club is a social organization for women and men of a specific tall stature. We are a member club and affiliated with Tall Clubs International and currently have 80+ members locally. Tall club members take pride in fostering tall awareness through community involvement in projects, activities, and through their official charities, TCI Foundation, The Marfan Foundation, Sacramento Zoo Parent program.
This is an academic scholarship for tall students. The continuing education scholarships are open to those students who have completed at least 1 year of college or trade school education, are 21 years of age or older, meet the official height requirements of The Sacramento Tall Club (5’10” for women, 6’2” for men) and are attending a two or four year accredited institution of higher learning in the fall of 2016. .
Please be sure to complete the whole application packet and submit all required paperwork by June 1st of the given scholarship year. Your unofficial transcripts, recommendations, etc. may be sealed envelopes, but MUST be included in your packet.
Incomplete applications will not be considered.
The completed application packet must include:
Application typed and signed by the applicant
Un-official transcript from your previous college or trade school.
Two letters of Recommendation (may or may not be typed)
One page 8.5 X 11 typed, single spaced in Times New Roman font 12, an original essay entitled “What Can Tall Clubs Offer Me”
A Release form to publish the essay and/or photo of applicant. Please make sure to indicate whether or not you give permission to use the photo and info.
Photograph suitable for publication (preferably a 5’7” photograph of good quality or a high resolution digital scan)

I understand that an un-official academic transcript, the application, essay, and two recommendations must be received by the Sacramento Tall Club Scholarship Committee by June 1st of 2016.
I hereby affirm that I intend to enter an accredited college/university/trade school as a full-time student and that I propose to use the funds, if awarded, for that purpose. All checks will be made out to the student AND the college they will be attending. I understand that my enrollment must be completed
within the current calendar year.
