JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLETAKE PART ASSISTANT(Part time)

RESPONSIBLE TOTAKE PART PROGRAMME MANAGER

RESPONSIBLE FOR

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assisting the Administration of the Take Part Programme and projects
  • Creating project support and advocacy material
  • Project liaison

These responsibilities involve a number of key activities within the 4 strands of work as outlined below:

BTEC

  • Assist with recruitment and registration of new students
  • Assist with BTEC administration
  • Support the maintenance of student files
  • Support the administration of BTEC Productions
  • Create BTEC support resources as directed

Community

  • Create project support resources as directed
  • Assist with the co-ordination of community workshops
  • Assist with the Theatre Tour rota and delivery
  • Support with the evaluation of projects

Creative Learning

  • Create project support resources as directed
  • Assist with the co-ordination of school workshops
  • Assist with organising the Playhouse’s Creative companies in Post Show Talks, Theatre Days and workshops
  • Assist with Artsmark and Arts Award Training and Support Contract activity
  • Support with the evaluation of projects

Youth Theatre

  • Answer enquiries from existing and potential Youth Theatre members
  • Assist with Youth Theatre registration including keeping up to date databases
  • Assist with Youth Theatre administration
  • Support the administration of Youth Theatre Productions

Department Support

  • Maintaining team diaries and building room bookings
  • Maintaining Take Part office systems and databases
  • Answering enquiries from schools, community groups and individuals
  • Liaising with other Playhouse departments
  • Updating the Take Part statistics collection for ongoing reports
  • Contribute to Take Part Programme e-Newsletters and marketing
  • Monitor the Take Part website pages
  • Monitor and update department social media accounts
  • Assist in updating the department CPD log for all Team members

General

Essential

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Terms & conditions

Salary£16,500 per annum, pro rata

Hours of work24 hours per week (3 days)

Holidays28 days per year (including Bank Holidays), pro rata

ProbationaryThree months, during which the notice period is 1 week on

Notice periodFollowing completion of a successful probationary period, the notice period is 4 weeks on either side.

Pension The Playhouse offers a pension scheme through People’s Pension, whereby contributions will be deducted from salary and is currently matched by the Playhouse up to 1.5% of salary.

The Playhouse is legally obliged to auto-enrol all eligible employees into this scheme after three months’ employment, although the employee has the right to ‘opt out’.
