Appendix

The appendix contains the results of the calculations of mass apportionment to each of the stages of the NGI and ACIfor each of the 20 input unimodal and log-normal APSDs described in Table 2 of the main article. The size ranges listed in the first column of each table refer either to the stage cut-point sizes for the NGI operated at 30 L/min (Tables A1 to A4)or the standard configuration of the ACI operated at 28.3 L/min (Tables B1 to B4). The second column identifies the stage number. The third, fifth, seventh, ninth and eleventh columns of each table contains the mass apportioned from the input APSD having GSD values of 1.2, 1.5, 1.6, 2.0 and 2.2 respectively apportioned in accordance with these size bounds. Thefourth, sixth, eighth, tenth and twelfth columns contain the corresponding output APSD mass apportionments assigned to each stage,and calculated in accordance with the procedure defined in the article.
