Appendix A

Framework questionnaire for Vista 90 qualitative evaluation

These questions are to be used as a basic structure for an HCP interview regarding the V90 trolleys. Certain questions are applicable only to doctors, whereas others to all staff.

Q1. Since using the Vista trolley have you noticed a decrease in number of times that you have to leave the bay during a single ward round? Do you still leave the bay at all in between seeing patients? And if so, what for?

Q2. Have you noticed that during the WR, the notes are in the trolley more often than when working with the previous trolley?

Q3. Have you noticed that during the rest of the day, the notes are in the trolley more often than when working with the previous trolley?

Q4. Do you find the Vista trolley harder/no change/easier to use as compared to the traditional medical trolley?

Q5. What is your opinion of the aesthetic value of the V90? In comparison to the old trolley?

Q6. Do you think its greater strength and robustness are important improvements?

Q7. Do you think that you have benefitted from having the writing surface offered by the Vista 90 by the patient bedside during wardrounds?

Q8. Do you feel that having a trolley with you by the patient bedside interferes with the doctor-‐patient relationship?

Q9. From your experience, what are the disadvantages of the Vista 90 trolley.

Q10. Do you think that the introduction of the Vista 90 trolley has impacted the efficiency of your work/the WR in general?
