ARM Quick Reference Guide

System Requirements and Recommendations

·  Bandwidth – A minimum download speed of 1.00 Mb/s.

­  Dial up is not recommended.

­  Users can test their speeds at http://www.speedtest.net/

·  Screen Resolution – It is recommended that users set the resolution to 1024 x 768 for an optimal visual experience within ARM.

­  This is HIGHLY recommended for the flash demo videos as they are recorded in the 1024 x 768 screen resolution.

·  Browser Versions – Users should have the latest version of the browser they are using installed. The latest versions are below.

­  Internet Explorer - 8.0.6001

­  Firefox - 3.6.11

­  Safari - 5.0.2

·  Adobe PDF Reader – The latest version is 9.4.

­  Download at http://get.adobe.com/reader/

·  Pop Up Blockers – It is recommended that users temporarily disable all pop-up blockers.

Step–by–Step Instructions for Submitting Reviews in ARM

Submitting Comments in ARM

·  After logging into ARM

·  Click on the appropriate Session ID (HRSA Announcement Number)

·  Click on your panel number

·  You’ll see a list of applications assigned to the panel; click on the name of the application you have been assigned (based on your purple assignment sheet), to complete your review

Completing your Review (Initial score and Strengths/Weaknesses)

·  Click on the double dash under the “score” column

·  Select your initial score for the Criterion from the drop down and click submit

·  After submitting your score, the word “comments” to the right of the score column will become hyper-linked.

·  Click on “comments”

·  Select “Add/Edit New Comment”

·  Select whether the comment is a ‘Strength or Weakness’ from the ‘Category’ drop down

·  Put your initials in the page box

·  Type (or copy and paste) your strength or weakness comment into the “Comment Text” box.

·  Only ONE comment per text box

­  If you have multiple comments to add for one criterion, after clicking ‘submit’, click “Add/Edit New Comment” and follow steps 6 – 9 again.

·  After you have clicked “Submit” for your last comment under that criterion, click on ‘Evaluation’ near the top of the page to return to the list of criterion.

·  Click on the next criterion and follow these steps again.

Budget Section

After you have submitted all of your strengths and weaknesses and have reached the Budget section, please indicate whether the budget is “as Requested” or “as Reduced”

·  You will need to input the budget numbers, for each of the requested funding years, WITHOUT commas or periods

·  Then click “Submit”

·  After submitting the budget numbers, the “Submit to Chair” button will become active

Priorities/Preferences (if applicable to the review)

·  You will need to indicate if the priorities/preferences have been requested by the applicant

·  Priorities – Please provide a point value from the drop down, either 0 or 5 (ONLY) per priority

·  Preferences – If the preference was requested, was it met? If it was met, how? Please indicate in the text box

·  Then click ‘Submit’

·  After submitting the Priorities/Preferences, the “Submit to Chair” button will become active

Submitting to Chair

·  Once you have completed your review of an application please click “Submit to Chair”.

·  Note: After submitting to chair no changes can be made to your comments, score, budget numbers, etc.

·  After you have clicked submit to chair, click “Application List” near the top of the page to return to the list of applications in your panel.

Repeat this process for ALL of your assigned applications.
