Early Intervention Coordinator

Summary: Under the supervision of the Director of Children’s Services, provide expertise and skills to perform administrative and supervisory duties for early intervention service providers and early intervention service coordinators. Ensure compliance with rules governing Ohio Early Intervention through the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities. Serve as a liaison to the Family First Council Coordinator/FFC Administrative Committee to provide required oversight information.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

·  Provide overall administration to the Ohio Early Intervention services provided by the Medina County Board of Developmental Disabilities, under the supervision of the Children’s Services Director

·  Assure that caseloads are assigned to each EI staff, and activities of EI staff are monitored to assure compliance with requirements of the EI rules.

·  Facilitate staff department meetings as needed

·  Provide technical assistance to EI staff in coaching, team process, documentation, collaboration with families and collaboration with other entities

·  Coordinate and participate in activities of EI teams

·  Designate at least one and no more than four individuals as Early Track system administrator

·  Provide reflective supervision to EI staff (Service Coordinators, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists)

·  Supervise/monitor productivity/caseloads of all EI staff

·  Work collaboratively with the Director of Children’s Services and/or the Catholic Charities Ombudsman to assist with the resolution of family complaints as needed

·  Ensure parents’ rights are being upheld

·  Act as liaison to Family First Coordinator/FFC Administrative Committee to ensure compliance with their oversight responsibilities

·  Provide ongoing evaluation of EI staff and conduct annual performance reviews. Develop and oversee determination of disciplinary actions as appropriate with additional support from the Director of Children’s Services or the Director of Human Resources as needed

·  Develop and coordinate professional development and training for EI staff

·  Attend professional local, regional, and state meetings as appropriate to the role

·  Participate in seminars, workshops, professional organizations for professional growth and to gain and maintain needed credentials for the role

·  Ensure LEA reports are submitted quarterly

·  Other duties as assigned. Performs other related duties as required by the Director of Children’s Services.

Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s degree strongly preferred. Three or more years of related experience is highly desirable. Must complete within three months of hire the following DODD required training: Service Coordination, Early Track, Reflective Supervision.

Applicant must meet the additional requirements below…

·  Must currently hold or be eligible to obtain an Early Intervention Supervisor Certification from DODD.

·  Must meet agency computer competency level requirements. To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software.

·  Must provide own reliable transportation to work in Medina County and to attend meetings and conferences outside of the county. Must meet agency driving requirements. May be required to drive agency vehicles. Must hold valid State of Ohio driver's license.

·  Must successfully complete a BCII/FBI background check.

·  Must meet all other agency employment requirements. Must meet all requirements as outlined on the corresponding job description.

Salary: $45,000 minimal annual; negotiable based on education/experience

Hours: Exempt position; minimal 40 hours per week. Maybe be required to work evenings/weekends
