MinorProblem
Behavior / Definition
Defiance/
Non-Compliance / Student engages in brief or low-intensity failure to follow directions or talks back.
Disrespect / Student delivers low-intensity, socially rude or dismissivemessages to adults or students. (Eye roll, scoff, loud sigh.)
Disruption / Student engages in low-intensity, but inappropriatedisruption.
Dress CodeViolation / Student wears clothing that is near, but not within, the dress code guidelines defined by the school/district. (hats, hoods)
Inappropriate
Language / Student engages in low-intensity instance of inappropriate language not directed at anyone. (sucks, f-ing)
Tardy / Visiting other teachers or areas when they should be in class.
Physical Contact/
Aggression / Student engages in non-serious, but inappropriate physical contact. (rough housing)
Property Misuse / Student engages in low-intensity misuse of property. (Writing on desk)
TechnologyViolation

Out of Bounds

Cheating / Has a tech device out in plain sight or it rings.
Student is in an area where they should not be at that time. (hanging out in the bathroom)
Copying others work.

Abusive Language/
Inappropriate Language/ Profanity / Student directs verbal messages that include swearing, name calling, to another individual.
Arson / Student plans and/or participates in malicious burning ofproperty.
BombThreat/
FalseAlarm / Student delivers a message of possible explosive materials being on-campus, near campus, and/or pending explosion.
Bullying / The delivery of direct or technology-based messages thatinvolve intimidation, teasing, taunting, threats, or name calling, purposefully excluding others.

Forgery/Theft/
Plagiarism / Student is involved by being in possession of, having passedon, or being responsible for removing someone else's property; or the student has signed a person’s name without that person’s permission, or claims someone else’s work as their own.
GangAffiliation
Display / Student uses gesture, dress, and/or speech to display affiliation with a gang.
Harassment / The delivery of disrespectful messages in any format relatedto gender, ethnicity, sex, race, religion, disability, physical features, or other protected class.
Inappropriate Display
ofAffection / Student engages in inappropriate, consensual verbal and/or physical gestures/contact, of a sexual nature to another student/adult.
Inappropriate
Location / Student is in an unsafe area/or off school grounds.
Lying / Student delivers message that is untrue and/or deliberatelyviolates rules.
PhysicalAggression / Student engages in actions involving serious physical contact where injury may occur (hitting with/out an object, kicking, hair pulling, scratching, biting etc.).
Property Damage/
Vandalism / Student participates in an activity that results in destruction or disfigurement of property.
Skip class / Student leaves or misses class without permission.
TechnologyViolation / Student engages in inappropriate useof cell phone, ipad, music/video players, camera, and/or computer.
Use/Possession of
Alcohol / Student is in possession of or is using alcohol.
Use/Possession of
Combustibles / Student is/was in possession of substances/objects capable of causing bodily harm and/or property damage(matches, lighters, firecrackers, gasoline, lighter).

Drugs / Student is in possession of or is using illegal drugs/substances or imitations.

Tobacco / Student is in possession of or is using tobacco.
Use/Possession of Weapons / Student is in possession of knives under 4 inches and guns(real or look alike), or other objects readily capable of causing bodily harm.
