A motion to appoint Michelle Langdon as City Clerk with the duties and responsibilities in accordance with Third Class City Code with a salary of $55,000.00 per annum.

A motion to appoint Michelle Langdon as Chief Fiscal Officer.

A motion to appoint Timothy Witt, Watson, Mundorff Brooks & Sepic, LLP, as City Solicitor at a retaining fee of $650.00 per month and a supplemental rate of $100.00 per hour.

A motion to prepare an ordinance repealing Ordinance 14-02, Creating the Position of City Manager to eliminate the position of City Manager.

A motion to appoint Councilwoman Nancy Peters as the Representative to Turnkey and Berkheimer Tax Administrator for the year 2018.

A motion to appoint Councilwoman Robin Mozley as the Alternate Representative to Turnkey and Berkheimer Tax Administrator for the year 2018.

A motion to direct the City Clerk to advertise for interested citizens to serve on the City of Jeannette various Authorities, Boards and Commissions for the year 2018.

A motion to reopen the 2018 Fiscal Budget an introduce and amended Budget Ordinance (as Bill #18-01), to direct the City Clerk to advertise such budget in accordance with the requirements of the Third Class City Code.

A motion to introduce an amended Tax Rate Ordinance (as Bill #18-02), to amend Ordinance #17-08, by setting the rate of Earned Income Tax at 1.85%, to direct the City Clerk to advertise such budget in accordance with the requirements of the Third Class City Code, to authorize all City Officials to take all actions necessary to implement such amended tax rate ordinance, and to make such amended tax rate ordinance available for public inspection.

A motion to change the rank of Vance Phillips to Captain.

A motion to appoint William Frye as Fire Chief.

A motion to appoint William Frye as Fire Marshall with a salary of $500.00 per annum.

A motion to designate KeyBank as the Depository Bank for the City of Jeannette’s General
Fund Account for the year 2018.

WHEREAS: On January 2, 2018, at the Re-Organizational Meeting of the City of Jeannette, the City Council approved KeyBank as the City’s Depository.

WHEREAS: The City Council approved the requirement of three signers on each instrument presented for negotiation.

Now, therefore be resolved by the City of Jeannette to

appoint the above officials as signatories on all City of Jeannette bank accounts.

A motion to rescindResolution #16-09, Setting Parking Rates for the City of Jeannette’s Public Parking Lot Along Magee Avenue. The Magee Avenue Parking Lot will be free parking and the electronic paystation kiosk will be discontinued by removal of the kiosk arms.

A motion to direct Police Chief Shannon Binda to test for the position of Police Captain.

A motion to direct the City Clerk to advertise for a Tax Clerk/Community Development Clerk.

A motion to prepare an ordinance amending Zoning Ordinance #17-10, to remove gas and service stations from Neighborhood Commercial Districts.
