EuroBlech 2014

Lorch presenting top innovations at the world's leading fair for sheet metal processing

Focusing on the fields of MIG-MAG technology, mobile welding and automation, the company is showcasing their all-rounder MicorMIG, their battery technology and a state-of-the-art TIG cold wire robot welding system.

Occupying a booth space of 150 square metres, Lorch Schweißtechnik will use the EuroBlech 2014 platform to demonstrate to their visitors from industry and trade what efficient and superior welding is all about in this day and age. Lorch has deliberately chosen the world's most important trade show in the industry to exhibit a plethora of new products and first-rate innovations that take performance to the next level.
Lorch has grouped their innovations and solutions into two large subject areas for their display in Hanover: Manual welding and automation. The centrepiece of their manual welding display is the new EN 1090-certified MicorMIG series which is jam-packed with features that are optimised for real-world applications thanks to innovative inverter technology and sets a new standard in the area of MIG-MAG welding. Visitors attending the trade fair will be given an opportunity for an up-close and personal look into the next-generation upgrade concept that was applied to customise this welding system to the welding requirements of today. An example of this innovative upgrade concept is the option to load additional welding processes or programs at a later point in time, allowing the system to grow with more demanding applications. Implementing operating features that are tailor-made for the operator is a cinch thanks to Lorch's sophisticated user management concept. In addition to the 300, 350 and 400 ampere variants that were introduced earlier in 2014, Hanover will see the introduction of the MicorMIG 500, a 500 ampere system for medium and heavy-duty steel work.

Federal award for Lorch's battery power solution

The new MicorStick system is sure to make quite a splash with the international audience at the trade fair as it features a MobilePower battery pack that allows for electrode welding on the go without any limitations. Visitors to the fair will be able to convince themselves of this new superior functionality and perform sample welding operations at a test station. MicorStick is the world's first welding machine that can be operated both with a separate battery and while connected directly to the mains supply. This mobile solution from Lorch has been awarded with the "Federal prize 2014 for outstanding, innovative achievements in the trade sector", which is bestowed by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.

Visitors attending the fair will, of course, also be given an overview of all current welding machines and the latest MIG-MAG Speed welding processes including SpeedPulse, SpeedArc, SpeedUp and SpeedRoot, which help increase speed and productivity during welding significantly. Another aspect of central importance in this regard: the next generation of optimised torches with new ergonomically shaped handle recesses and a flexible ball joint.

TIG cold wire on the robot

Lorch flaunt their competence in the field of automation by presenting a wide range of different products - from mechanical solutions to robot-assisted welding. Their versatile "Ready-to-Robot" concept allows even small and medium-sized enterprises to apply automated welding processes in the most efficient way possible. Lorch's innovative TIG cold wire welding solution for robot welding will be presented for the first time in Hanover. As an added benefit, our Lorch System Integration (LSI) experts will demonstrate how automated solutions can be swiftly incorporated into manufacturing processes from a single source.

Lorch Schweißtechnik will be occupying booth E 69/E70 in hall 13. EuroBlech 2014 will be hosted on the fairgrounds in Hanover between October 21st and October 25th.
