Business Overview Guide

Tell them WHY you got involved with the business, how you love teaching and helping people with their health and that you love being able to help people alsowith the business opportunity that exists here at doTERRA and that it is just as precious and excellent as the products that we teach people about.

Benefits: (Talk about the benefits of the business for ex. Time freedom with family, financial stability and wealth, debt free, work with a mission/service oriented company, making a difference in your own lives and the lives of others, fulfill dreams, no limit to income like most jobs, can be done together as a couple or as families- many get their husband or wife out of their day job they are not happy at.)

As I go through this today I hope you can open your mind to what the possibilities are here for you with this opportunity. But first, I want to ask you a few questions and get your mind thinking a little….

Questions: If you had an extra $500 a month what would you do with it? (LISTEN and let them share). Acknowledge what they say and then ask…If you had an extra $1000 a month what would you do with it? (Listen and let them share). Then ask…if you had an extra $5000 a month what would you do with it? (Listen and acknowledge- sometimes people have a hard time envisioning that…but wait and let them share) Then ask…what would you do with an extra $10,000…..then $20,000 a month? Notice how the more the money increases that they start to dream and to think about helping more and more people. Help them see that when we think bigger and work towards accomplishing this we can help even more people in the world.

I’m going to tell you a story about buckets, pipelines and essential oils. You might be wondering how these relate. But here’s the story:

Tell Story of the Man in the Village

Then explain: Not only did he create a pipeline to bless all the people in the village with water but he also created a financial pipeline that would allow him to pursue his greater cause and higher purpose in life!

So as you evaluate and look at your own situation….are you hauling buckets? …Even if you are making good income ….are you hauling buckets to provide for your family? If you don’t show up to work do you still get paid? Is there an exit path for you so you don’t have to haul buckets.

I am going to show you how doTERRA can be a fantastic way for you to build a pipeline, a financial pipeline so that you don’t spend your time hauling buckets with no end in sight! (TEACH the commission structure/ averages are from 2014)

Some of these averages have even gone up since 2014 and as the company grows we have more people reaching these leadership ranks and the average income continues to increase! That is such a GREAT trend to have within a company! I just look at this and think to myself….” Man, this company is really going places!”

So I want to talk a little about what you want to accomplish with doTERRA. Based on everything you have seen…I would like to ask you three questions.

  1. About how much would you need to earn to make it worth your time to do this as a business? Think about that…how much would you need to earn to make this worth your time?
  2. Secondly, about how many hours could you commit to each week to develop that kind of income?
  3. And lastly, about how many months would you be willing to work those kinds of hours in order to develop that kind of income?

So, I would recommend that you think about where you are in your life…are you hauling buckets…is there an end in sight…is it worth your time to invest your own energy and your own effort into building a pipeline with doTERRA? And if it is, how long are you going to commit to building that pipeline? It takes some time to build it…but I can promise you that IT IS WORTH YOUR WHILE! If you will be consistent and focus on the system in place for you to create a pipeline YOU WILL have results and YOU WILL be able to create a financial stream where you will no longer have to carry buckets. You will be able to bless the lives of so many people and do something that you feel called to do that is greater then hauling buckets for the rest of your life.

Ask them if they have any questions or concerns. ALWAYS validate them and use the FEEL, FELT, FOUND method to overcome any objections. Show your excitement!! They will feel it! Reassure you are going to be there to support them and let them know what they will get from working with you (great time to share your Brand). BE CONFIDENT!!

Then express: So, the next step for you to do is to schedule your first class. (Help them schedule their first 1-4 classes, set dates, etc.) If they aren’t quite ready yet to commit, then let them think about it andask them if it would be ok for you to follow up with them in a couple of days to see what they have decided. Some people can make a decision immediately and others need a day or two to digest but always follow up within 48 hours!

If they have decided to move forward…Refer them to your team trainings and support.

Then say:

Lastly, before we close this Business Overview…I want to set up some expectations for you as you decide to do this as business.

  1. Just take responsibility for your Business.
  2. Try to become independent as soon as you can. The faster you master the skillset and the system that’s in place to do it on your own, the faster your business will grow.
  3. There are going to be ups and downs. That’s normal. How you respond willdictate your success. Make sure you have a partner to do this with. Your mentor is there to provide you with stability and guidance. (If you are their mentor then let them know you will be there to help them through the ups and downs).
  4. Next is the 1, 3, 5, 7 priniciple. In this type of business it takes about 1 year to be profitable…and you be profitable from the beginning but what I mean is you’re going to want to reinvest in your business and pipeline so it can continue to grow. So, in order to be profitable and really be making a nice income you need to invest a year in this to build your pipeline. Three years will allow you to earn a full time income, 5 years to six figures and beyond and 7 years to total financial freedom. These are averages…some people get there sooner and others later. Now when you are evaluating that…think about how long have you been in your current job…Are you anywhere close to having complete financial freedom for the rest of your life?
  5. Our Daily order of Operation through our system is that you go through six daily questions in order to be productive in your work with doTERRA, you have three weekly things you will be going to do with enrollments and one event a month to get the business training you need. So it’s a very simple system to follow.
  6. The skill set you need in this business….there are skill sets in every business…if you’re in any business you need to learn certain skills (nurse, doctor, teacher, etc) and at doTERRA we put those into Four categories: Finding people to teach, Teaching people you find, Enrolling those people and Duplicating that process within your organization. When you master these skill sets you will truly be able to build a clean free flowing financial pipeline.
